I don’t know if you are familiar with Acts 15. It was an early dispute between Jewish and Gentile believers or Christians if you will. Today’s Christians teach form this that the Jewish people involved were false teachers or “Judaizes”. While the text plainly states that they were Jewish believers. Well the crises’ was resolved by everyone being allowed to state their reasons for their beliefs then jointly coming to a resolution. You would think with this great example of resolving differences there wouldn’t be any lasting divisions. However the very next story is about a division between Paul and Barnabas. I say all that to just point out the need for dialog. You have raised a few concerns from your position, but without documentation, I don’t have a bases to evaluate them from. Let’s look at just one of your statements: “No where does it say we must keep "perfectly"”. Cursed be he that confirmeth not all the words of this law to do them. And all the people shall say, Amen. [Deuterronomy 27:26] Isn’t this an injunction to keep the laws perfectly or not to disregard a law of God? How do you arrive at the conclusion that the law doesn’t have to be keep perfectly?

That is an excelent point. Daniel was without a temple also and made confession that "we have sinned, and committed iniquity, and have done wickedly, and have rebelled, even by departing from thy precepts and from thy judgements... To the LORD our God belong mercies and forgivenesses, though we have rebelled against him... Yea all Isrea have transgressed thy law... O LORD, hear; O LORD, forgive...

Jimmie, I am going to look more closely at all the passages you referenced.
elizabeth,
Thanks for that kind compliment.
alon,
Even a blind hog will find an acorn now and then. The fact that a feminist believes something does not prove it wrong. 1 Tim 2:14 And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression. Eve was just a rib when God told Adam not to eat of the tree, yet when she ate she transgressed. She was a part of man therefore accountable. Once my wife and I were having a disagreement and I just could not get her to understand my way of thinking. Out of frustration, I said I couldn’t understand how she could be so beautiful yet so stupid. Well she explained it to me. She said God made her beautiful so that I would be attracted to her. God made her stupid so that she would be attracted to me. Men and women think differently. Then so do you and me. I don’t see how that relieves either from the duty to fear God and keep his commandments. You mentioned working concrete. Then you know what happens when too much water is added, or it is over vibrated, or the surface is overworked. All of those traditions of the concrete finishers is an absolute frustration to the design engineers. For they know that those traditions of handling concrete will cause its’ premature failure. So it is with God’s law, keep man’s traditions out of it. The Savior warned on many occasions that the traditions of man make the laws of God of no effect. I will take an “it is written” over “it has been said of old time” every time. No one should commit to keeping any law without being convinced in their own mind to do so. That is keeping the letter of the law and not the spirit of the law. I kept the letter, of the tithing law, for 18 years in the baptist church. I gave the tithe to the church not to God. I listened to the preacher not scripture. I walked in accordance with his and the churches tradition not the dictates of God’s law. As I tell my children, “education is expensive”. Learning to tithe in accordance with scripture cost me $120,000.00.
I believe everything that I believe is the truth. I believe not everything that I believe is the truth.
As best I can tell the first reference to the descendants of Jacob being called the “Children of Israel” is found in the account of the changing of Jacob's name to Israel. Genesis 32:24-32, "Therefore the children of Israel eat not the sinew of the hip, which is upon the hollow of the thigh, unto this day: because he touched the hollow of Jacob's thigh in the sinew of the hip." Now do the women of Israel eat the “sinew of the hip” or do they reframe from eating it in honour of this tradition? If a woman is expected to honour this tradition, then why not the law of wearing fringes? In Exodus 35:1&2 do you suppose that women were not enjoined from working on Sabbath because Moses is only talking to the men when addressing the “Children of Israel”? Or are women allowed to do after the things of Egypt, or the land of Canaan because Moses is only talking to the men when addressing the “Children of Israel” in Lev 18:2? Lev 12:2 shows that women are included as “Children of Israel”. To teach women to not wear fringes, is to do that which the Masters warns against in Matt 5:19.

First off thanks for the prayers. My daughter is not well off but is stable. She is buying a mini farm just a quarter mile down the road from me and next door to my son. I have teanage daughters willing help with the baby sitting, while Liza is at work. The mother of the children has just agreed to give up her rights, but nothing on paper yet. The father still wants the children to keep the welfare checks rolling in, but the Judge is not cutting him any slack.
I believe everything that I believe is the truth. I believe not everything that I believe is the truth.
My unmarried daughter is thing about taking on the responsibility of raising two of her cousin's children. First, I would like prayer for her and second what is the Biblical basis of adoption? Moses and Ester are examples of adopted children. Are there others?
I always hesitate to guess, but I can't help but wonder if there is some Messianic insight regarding Yeshua as Redeemer going on here. G-d accomplishing our redemption as a joint endeavor of both Him and man.

The first set of tables shows the state of natural man. He has broken all of God’s Law. This does not mean that natural man has broken each of God’s Laws. Since he is enjoined to keep each and every Law of God, but has failed to do so, he has broken all (as in the entirety of the Law). The second set of tables shows the state of regenerated man. Moses preparing the tables with his hands showing that the regenerated man is involved with preparing a place for God to write his Law. Of course that place is our heart. And the new covenant is when God’s Laws are written on our heart.
I believe everything that I believe is the truth. I believe not everything that I believe is the truth.
If only it were that simple. My father loved God, yet he passed on a lot of transgenerational sin to all his children. Not hating God is a really good, and necessary start. But it isn't the whole answer.
Dan C [/quote]
Your father passing on the sin nature is quite different from a jealous God visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children to the third and fourth generation of those who hate him. God never said that he would visit the iniquity of the fathers on the children of those who love him.

Matt 13:15 For this people's heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted and I should heal them.
It appears as though they blinded themselves. Why I do not know. But sin can be fun for a while. But then the Judgement!
I believe everything that I believe is the truth. I believe not everything that I believe is the truth.
"...for I the Lord your G-d am a jealous G-d visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me, but showing steadfast love to thousands of those who love me and keep my commandments."
Want to break the curse? Don't hate God.
I believe everything that I believe is the truth. I believe not everything that I believe is the truth.
