It is no surprise to me. God has a way of removing competition and I have feared for a long time that Israel has considered the US its benefactor of protection instead of Adonai. I'm relieved that it should manifest itself in this way as opposed to what I might have considered more dramatic... like, maybe, our total annihilation. Israel went through this same sort of thing with Egypt in the days of Jeremiah.
It is bad news for us, no doubt. The closer we stand with the people if Adonai, the closer more we rest in His protection and receive the abundance of His blessings. Yet, so long as Israel places its confidence in foreign military strength, it will never come to placing its heart in obedience to Adonai.

Yes, I agree. I believe one of our sources of blessing here in the U.S. is our support of Israel. Although, I can understand the the position of U.S. having a problem with giving weapons to China. I think the U.S. is torn. But, I think we will be worse off if we reject Israel compared to allowing weapons sent to China. And, yes Israel will find it's true strength in returning to Adonai with all it's heart, soul, and strength as the Holy One Of Israel, blessed be He, will fight on their behalf.
