The following article sheds new light on the Exodus of Israel from Egypt or at least sheds new humor. And you guys thought some of my ideas were "different" News Of The Weird By Chuck Shepherd Wave runner Ultra-Orthodox California rabbi Nachum Shifren, 53, cuts a dashing figure on the beach at Malibu, where he is the legendary surfer "Shifty," easily spot-able on 20-foot waves by his long beard, according to a September profile in the San Diego Union-Tribune. In his spare time (he says he is ready to ride 24/6, allowing for the Sabbath), he has conducted "Passover surfaris" and beach bar-mitzvahs, and his lectures on Deuteronomy include the observation that "surf punks" paddled out into the Red Sea during the Jews' exodus from Egypt. "[T]he whole religious experience," he told the reporter, "the outer body experience, is encompassed in the act of surfing." God has his people in every area to witness to the world.

Thank you for sharing this. The Orthodox world is reaching out as I just saw a Orthodox Jewish man on public t.v. singing Reggae...and he is popular amongst many secular people as well. May our Father's go out in every lawful form, Shalom b'Yeshua HaMashiach, Reuel

What link? It doesn't look like anybody has altered your post. When someone does it will show whom has altered the post and when it was done. For example, I just altered my post, and it shows who did it (me) and when. Are you sure you posted a link?
Shalom chaver,

Yes I'm sure I posted a link. I always check it to see if it comes up after posting. Also you responded to it the next day on November 25th, 2004 thanking me for sharing the article and commented on the article. It doesn't matter I just wondered what the reason for deletion.

Well, could you re-post the link? If a mod had removed your link *then it would tell you when it was modified and by whom. Very strange. But please go ahead and re-post the link as I would like to take a look at it. *Look at the bottom of my post for an example.

Shalom Curt,
I probably commented about the article that you posted in your original post. But, there is no mention in your post about a link. No one has altered your post. There would indeed be a record of it if this was the case. I know I didn't do it, and the moderators know to let me know when any links have been removed. But, again the system shows that your post has never been altered (even by you).
Feel free to post the link again.
Berachot (Blessings),
Reuel

Reuel, I'm sure I was proably wrong about posting the link. I'll have to look for it again in the San Diego Union-tribune. It's probably likely I didn't post the first time because the original source wouldn't allow me to do so and that's why I just typed the info.
