Wow. I had no idea that conservative Judaism is so NOT conservative. The United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism voted earlier this month to allow openly gay men and women to serve as staff members in Conservative synagogues throughout North America.

There are many "branches" of judiasm I am learning. There is Orthodox (Chasidic), Reform, Reconstructionist, Conservative and Messianics (which some Jewish people see as just Christian)

Many denominations in both Judaism and Christianity are compromising their stance on what says about homosexuality. It is a sign of the times. There is alot of confusion amongst the different branches of Rabbinic Judaism when it comes to Messianic Judaism. There is no doubt that those whom believe in Messiah and are dedicated to practicing observance in their lives are also practicing a form of Judaism. Just because a non-believing Jew doesn't accept Messiah Yeshua doesn't mean that they should reject Messianic Judaism as a legitimate form of Judaism. For the first couple centuries after Messiah came to the Earth believers in Messiah were considered to be just another sect of Judaism. But, some whom call themselves "Messianic" today also simply are like a Christian church with a kippa in the sense that they like the Jewish things, but are not serious about being observant. Some of them probably also don't hold the standard of when it comes to homosexuality. Each congregation (believing or non-believing) should be judged on a case-by-case basis. I don't believe every Conservative Synagogue will accept the ruling regarding homosexuality. Shalom, Reuel
