Is it healthy of beneficial for a Messianic believer to attend a Christian College or University? Not sure that it's any worse than a secular university. It would depend how strong a person was in their walk with Yeshua as to how hard it would be.

Realize that at a Christian college, you will not likely find any Jewish persons to talk to. It will be a case of constantly having to defend/explain your position as a messianic believer. It could be just as or more difficult as going to a secular college in that respect. It will be especially hard in any Bible courses you take, because of the discussion. Generally, you will be considered to be heretical.

Is it healthy of beneficial for a Messianic believer to attend a Christian College or University? Like golfnerd said, it's not really any worse than a secular university. You have to be prepared whatever college rout you go. I plan to go to a secular university, but if I saw a good op for a Christian college, and I thought I could learn as much or more from it, then I wouldn't hesitate to go there.

One of the dangers to a Christian College that does not exist in a secular one is that there is a presumed common understanding of the Messiah (or at least an acknowledged reference). This presumption is often challenged by the Messianic faith. The result is that there is a potential for greater hostility within a Christian arena than in a secular one. In the secular college differences will be presumed. Discussion (debate) regarding faith or philosophy is by invitation and differences are a given. Within Christian circles, differences to what some would consider fundamentals of the faith may be seen as subversive and can be met with open hostility. In the Christian college, it is more likely that one may respond, "How dare you believe such a thing?!"

I would agree with that. I would say that a messianic attending a Christian college has to be prepared to go through the same kinds of things that a messianic attending a church is faced with. One difference is, that since you are paying tuition, they are not likely to kick you out for your beliefs; the same, unfortunately, is not always the case of church.
