I may have posted this thought elsewhere; if so, please forgive me.
I know that many (including myself) have always assumed that the one world religion of antichrist would be some sort of Catholocism. Catholocism is very powerful and widespread, and not very Christian at all.
However, I've been doing much thinking lately (this tends to get me in trouble with my wife, but not this time). What's the most widespread and accepted religion in the world? It's very subtle and most don't even consider it a religion.
Give up? Secular Humanism.
Secular Humanism was legally recognized as a religion in the 50's. It's so pervasive that many even teach it from the pulpits unknowingly. (Teaching that man is a dichotomous being instead of a trichotomous being is the teaching of natural evolution, which is part of SH; natural evolution teaches that man is just another animal, so only has a body and a soul or spirit; Scripture teaches that man has a body, soul and spirit.)
Do a Google and research Secular Humanism. If you can find the book "Mind Seige", it's a good read on the subject.
Secular Humanism is the largest and most pervasive religion in the world today, and is even accepted by many Christians. It's just what the antichrist needs. Is he using it today or just building up to it?

No doubt that HaSatan is using Secular Humanism to further his goals, but I would say that Roman Catholicism, and all of it's daughters (those whom have been effected by it's foundations) are, and will be part of the "one world religion". Much of the foundation for Roman Catholicism, and it's daughters is based on bringing the various different religions into “one” while explicitly rejecting the  of our Father in Heaven, and His Messiah whom personifies it. I believe that whatever religious organization partakes of this is part of the great w-h-o-r-e. I agree to an extent. The way that SH is infiltrating even the Catholic church almost seems as if a marriage between the two is imminent. Especially if you look at the daughters of the Catholic church and the way in which they embrace every abomination (SH also embraces every abomination as a "freedom").
The only thing standing between the two eventually is the idea of "God", and the way that so many are embracing "every god is equal", that may not be far behind. Many are embracing the "fact" that YHWH is the same as Allah is the same as Buddha... it doesn't matter, as long as you worship. (SH permits new age religion, such as crystal healings, TM, etc.)
I think Catholocism will be the vehicle, but SH will be the religion (with just a touch of Catholocism left over).

I agree, I have even heard of Chabad's who teach this type of message. I hope that it will not be excepted in my life time or my children's, yet may He return in my lifetime as well. Why is our world becoming so debauched?  I have seen my friend become a Catholic nut with too many candles and I am trying to stop him. What is the difference between the soul and spirit; I always figured one was the mind and the other was your essence that exists in heaven. P.S. How many posts until I am a five star general?  |

Natural evolution (often mistakenly called Darwinian evolution; I call it that occasionally when those I'm speaking to know what I'm referring to) teaches that man is just like animals. We have a body and a soul or spirit; they equate the two. However, Scripture does not hold that to be true.

One world religion, eh? If you do a google search of "Nasa Project Blue Beam", you'll find a ton of results...primarily conspiricy type groups and/or organizations. Seem many think they have access to information which reportedly talks about a "staged second coming", projected onto the edge of our atmosphere via sattelites...it gets very complicated, and I don't wish to use up space here trying to report on what I've read. I will say, however, that reports on this "Operation Blue Beam" and the one-world-religion that is supposed to follow are compelling, as they fit many scriptural refferences, as well as naming actual legislation around the world which seems to be paving the way...
...a word of caution, first...please try to remember to take the things you might find with a grain of salt, as conspiricy theorists often have agendas of their own. Even the advisary can quote scriptures for his own purposes.
...I only bring this up because I only recently heard of it myself, and is directly [?] tied to the one world religion, and the anti-christ who it will endorse.

I sure can, Reuel....here's a short version... What is the Blue Beam Project? by David Openheimer zianet@interserv.com It involves two things. A technologically simulated "second coming" and the reemmrgence of new "MONTAUK" type projects that have the ability to take up a whole bunch of people as in a "rapture" type of situation and whisk the whole bunch into never-never land. Ironically, portions of the holographic projections have the potential for changing the planet into oneness with God. Unfortunately, this operates on the premise that Man shall somehow become God in human form and control other Men and dictate all actions and thoughts. The calculated resistance to the new religion, the New World Order and the new "Messiah" will entail human loss on a massive scale in the ensuing "holy wars".The "BLUE BEAM PROJECT" will pretend to be the universal fulfillment of the prophecies of old; as major an event as that which took place 2000 years ago. In principle, it will make use of the sky as a holographic projection screen for space-based laser-generating satellites (star wars). These projectors will project simultaneous images to the four corners of the planet, in every language by region. It deals with the religious aspect of the NEW WORLD ORDER. The "system" has already been tested. Holographic projections of the "CHRIST IMAGE" have already been seen in some remote desert areas. These have only been reported in tabloid papers, so they are instantly rendered moot. They can also project images of alien craft, aliens, monsters, angels - you name it. Computers will coordinate the satellites and software will run the show-and-tell. Hollography is based on very nearly identical signals combining to produce and image, or hologram, with depth perception. This is equally applicable to acoustic (ELF,VLF,LF) waves as it is to optical phenomena. Specifically, the "show" will consist of laser projections of multiple holographic images to different parts of the planet, each receiving different images according to the predominating regional religious faith. Not a single area will be excluded. With computer animation and sound effects appearing to come from the depths of space, astonished followers of the various creeds will witness their own returned Messiah in spectacularly convincing lifelike realness. The various images of Christ, Mohammed, Buddha, Krishna, etc., will merge into ONE after "correct explanation" of the mysteries, prophecies and revelations are disclosed. This "ONE GOD" will in fact function as the "Anti-Christ", who will "explain" that the various scriptures "have been misunderstood"- that the religious of old are responsible for turning brother against brother, nation against nation - that the religions of the world must be abolished to make way for the GOLDEN AGE (NEW AGE) of the One World Religion, representing the One God they see before them. Naturally, this superbly staged, full-scale production will result in social and religious disorder on a massive scale. Wonder what the television transmitters of religious networks will be doing on that day ? But before all this, they have to go through four different steps in order to get to Project Blue Beam. 1: The first step concerns the breakdown of all archaological knowledge. It deals with staging earthquakes at certain precise locations around the planet where supposed new "discoveries" will finally explain (for them) that the meanings of the basic doctrines of all the world`s major religions are "wrong." This falsification will be used to make the population believe that all religious doctrine has been misunderstood and misinterpreted. The falsification started with the film 2001: A Space Odessy, the TV-series STAR TREK, the STAR WARS films, E.T., all of which deal with space "invasion" and "protection". JURASSIC PARK, was to push the theory of evolution. 2: The second step deals with the gigantic space show: 3D optical holograms and sounds, laser projections of multiple holographic images in different parts of the world, each receiving a different image, according to its predetermined original national religious faith. This new "god" image will talk in all languages. As an exemple, the Soviets have manufactured the advanced computers and have programmed them with the minute psychological particles based upon their studies of the anatomy and biology of the human body, as well as their studies on the anatomy, chemistry and electricity of the humain brain. These computers have also been fed with the different languages of the world. 3: The third step deals with telepathic electronic two-way communication, where ELF(Extra Low Frequency), VLF (Very Low Frequency), and LF (Low Frequency) waves will reach the people of the earth through the insides of their brains, making each person believe that his own God is speaking to him from within his owm soul. Such rays, from satellite, are fed from the memory of computers that store much data about the human being and his languages. These rays will then interlace and interweave with the natural thinking processes to form what we call the ARTIFICIAL TALK. 4: The fourth step involves universal supernatural manifestations using electronic means. This step contains three different orientations: The first one is to make mankind believe that an alien invasion is about to occur upon every major city on the earth. This is to push each major nation into using its nuclear capability to strike back. In this manner, it would put each of these nations in a state of full disarmament before the United Nations after the false attack. The second is to make the "christian" believe that a major rapture is occurring, with a simple "played" divine imtervention of an alleged "good" alien force coming to save the good people from a brutal satanic attack. Its goal is to get rid of all significant opposition to the NEW WORLD ORDER. The third orientation is a mixture of electronic and supernatural forces. The waves (frequencies) used at that time will allow supernatural forces to travel through fiber optics cable, coaxial cable,electric and telephone lines in order to penetrate all electronic equipment and appliances that will by then all have a special microship installed. The goal of this step deals with the materialization of satanic ghosts, spectres, and poltergeists all across the globe in order to push all populations to the edge of a wave of suicide, killing and permanent psychological disorder. Sounds very interesting....  I would take it with a grain of salt. If this was actually going to happen, it no doubt would be top secret and I highly doubt that this website would have the detailed information that it claims to have obtained. On a lighter note, it sounds like it would make for a great movie. One thing is for sure...the elect will be able to discern the coming of Messiah by the scriptures. Here are a few reliable scriptural tests... "To the and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.” - Yeshayahu (Isaiah) 8:20 ”YHVH (The L-RD) is well pleased for his righteousness' sake; he will magnify the , and make it honourable.”- Yeshayahu (Isaiah) 42:21 If the Messiah you see does none of these things…He’s not HaMashiach. Oh, I agree, Reuel...but instead of a grain, I'd use the whole shaker, with this one. Looks like someone's unsubmitted screenplay. A couple of things struck me, though... ...Do the scriptures specify if the masses will be decieved by some sort of spiritual means (i.e. demonic forces), or will they use ways of the world, as the article states? I ask this because much of the technology mentioned is actually real. ...The article the link leads to goes so far as to have mentioned the abolition of currency...the inablity to buy or sell without accepting the new order of things. ...I do seem to recall a scripture that state something about almost being able to decieve the elect,"...if that were possible". Do you recall where that is, by chance? I only brought the whole thing up because I found it interesting, and relative to the end of time. As I stated before, I'm not buying into it, but parts of it do give one pause for thought. We need to remember that prophesies are real. The day of the anti-christ, as well as the Day of G-d's Judgement. As for me and mine, I'll continue to stress (and lean on) the sound advice you posted from Isaiah 8:20. it's an evil world out there Praise be, our Creator always has a handle on things.
