Hello, My name is Bob. I am a born again Christian "raised on a church pew". I accepted The Lord as a young child. I stepped away from God for a time and have returned to him with a new found hunger for a deeper relationship. Knowing full well that I am not worthy to be called a child of his. Its funny what one may take for granted until they have had an opportunity to view it from a distance. I know what the prodigal son meant speaking from the pig sty. And more importantly I know how he felt when the Father ran to him and kissed him! Since returning to the lifestyle of a believer I have noticed that the "gentile church" view has a lot of holes in it. I am seeking guidance from my "older siblings" in the faith. The ones who take the entire bible seriously instead of using the "perforated" text where one commandment of God is for the Jew and another is for the Christian. (All this coming from a God that does not change ) I hope to learn much from you and to grow and increase in my understanding of and relationship with my God and King. I am a babe in this and because of this I may put my foot in my mouth. Please accept my humble apologies in advance if I do.

Welcome my brother! I new here too, and like you, I too have lived in the prodigal son's shoes. I'm SO happy you returned to the Father and are deepening your relationship with Him. I totally know what you mean when you said: And more importantly I know how he felt when the Father ran to him and kissed him! For me it was a life changing experience when He did this for me. And in tough and dry times the memory of that experience often keeps me going; puts things into perspective. Yup! It's really all about relationship with Him... and helping each other in our relationships with Him... even and especially if some of us use a "perforated" version of Scripture. Anyway, welcome again and have a great day!
