SHALOM, I AM NEW TO FORUMS IN GENERAL AND AM A LITTLE INTIMIDATED ABOUT POSTING BUT AM VERY INTERESTED IN THIS FORUM. MY WIFE AND I HAD BEEN GENTILE BELIEVERS FOR QUITE A WHILE WHEN THE LORD BEGAN SPEAKING TO BOTH OF US CONCERNING ISRAEL AND HER SALVATION AND RESTORATION. WE KNOW THAT WE HAVE BEEN CALLED TO MINISTER IN THIS AREA OF G-D'S KINGDOM AND HAVE BEEN GIVEN A TREMENDOUS HEART AND BURDEN FOR THE JEWISH PEOPLE BUT ARE NOT SURE WHERE , HOW AND WHEN. IT IS AN EXTREMELY TOUGH MISSION FIELD TO BE INVOLVED IN. HOWEVER THIS FORUM SEEMS TO BE A WEALTH OF INFORMATION AND THERE ARE SO MANY PEOPLE DEDICATED TO G-D THAT ARE POSTING PERHAPS I MAY LEARN AND MAY BE ABLE TO BLESS ALSO AS WELL AS BE BLESSED.

Hi Tim, Thanks for stepping in and saying hello. The whole forum idea is simply like writing letters to each other; but on display so that an entire community can share. chat rooms boggle me, so I completely understand your hesitation. Learning to identify with a person's perspective is critical to being able to share with them something so intimate as saving faith in the Messiah. Yet, what I have come to understand over the past few years is that Judaism has a better grasp on what is saving faith than Christians. They simply are blinded to One who is the subject of that faith. It's a tough mission field because they know more about what the Bible says than we do. It's hard to sell something you don't understand to someone who has grown up with it. The credibility just isn't there. Yet, the one piece that Christianity holds is the one piece that matters. When taken out of His Judaic context, he can hardly be recognized; but seen as the fulfillment of biblical prophecy, the Rabbinical Judaism has to struggle to deny Him (just as reading the New Testament in context forces the Christian to come under the authority of ). It's funny how Adonai has designed it so that we need each other, Jew and gentile, to learn how to walk in an intimate relationship with Him. If only we, as religious communities could start listening to Him instead of preaching at each other. There are a number of good resources out there to help you in your calling. We hope that we can be of service to you from this venue. Blessings and peace, Mark
