Greetings everyone,
My name is Lindie, and I married the most awesome guy in March of this year. God brought me here from Charlotte, NC just to marry this man and walk by his side forever. It is a beautiful story and someday maybe I will share it with ya all.
I come from Hope of Israel Messianic Congregation in Charlotte where I learned under the loving covering of Miriam and Sam Nadler. I had many responsibilities at HOI, and many loving friends, with hugs and laughter always available.
I miss the love, the hugs and the teaching most of all!!
I sort of feel like I am in a desert land with no teaching anywhere to be found!! I think I got spoiled in Charlotte concerning this matter! LOL!
But, I am eager to grow and serve in the new Congregation that God has placed Eric and I.
I grew up in North Bend, Oregon in the 70's, and became a believer when I was 15, but just in recent years have come to walk in the Life; or at least it is a journey for me personally.
In 1979 I started noticing a "drawing" towards the scriptures and the longing to understand the God I loved. At that time I was teaching school and on the way to work one morning I tuned into a radio show with a man named Sid Roth. It was the very beginning of my journey into the messianic life and I had no idea at that time that I was indeed, Jewish. It wasn't until 1997 when visiting my aged grandmother that I found out that my grandfathers entire family was Jewish, but that fact was kept a secret many, many years. I was denied my heiritage because of biggotry and kept from the because of generational hatred.
Now, when I look back at the old black and white photos of Grandpas family, I see a picture of men who lived with the knowledge of and It's God, but all the while hated the blood that flowed in their own veins.
I began to search for messianic studies and found Frist Fruits of Zion in Colorado. I began taking all the courses from Club and messiah mag's and anything I could get my hands on.
I learned very quickly that there are many more "weird" messianic teachings out there then there are proper ones, so I was glad God had lead me to FFOZ.
My prayer is that God will use the remaining years of my life (I am 50), to help other believers to grow in their understanding of . Most Christians are not taught the history and the culture of the scriptures. They need to know these things in order to bring the scriptures into focus for their lives.
I remember the first time the light of understanding came on when I realized that Yeshua was God! I love to see that light of understanding flicker on when someone finally "gets it"!! LOL! It is great joy to witness that.
Well, I have introduced myself. Now what else do you want to know? LOL!
Forever in Messiah Yeshua!
