shalom all,
So, I'm new here. I'm based in London, England and I've been a believer for four years. In the last six months, I have been undergoing some re-evaluation of my beliefs and the reasins behind these beliefs. One of the biggest and certainly the most practical results of this has been my recent committment to living .
Previously, I had been taught the standard Christian line that the Law had been done away with, nailed tothe cross, etc. However, I'd always been a bit uncomfortable with Yeshua's words in Matthew 5:17-19 concering the not being done away with until heaven and earth pass away. I've always been very interested in eschatology and I am firmly premill/post-trib. In my studies, it has always seemed a bit odd that Adonai would do away with the feasts, new moons, Sabbath, sacrifices (etc) in this "dispensation" - only to bring them all back again for the age to come!
Having approached the issue again with (hopefully) an open mind, I've become pretty-much convinced that Adonai's is not burdensome, is not a curse and is not nailed to the cross. Rather, I understand that is and always has been spiritual, holy and good. I believe that a return to observance is critical for the body of Messiah to become unified and single in heart.
Hopefully, in participating in this community, I'll be able to learn a whole lot about how to practically live out . I also hope to increase in wisdom and understanding of the scriptures as a whole.
Shalom
