So what you are saying is that there is a mashiach (annointed one) that the Father appoints for each generation. Hmmmm....Any scriptural backing for this statement besides the Talmud? I understand that you are saying there is a difference between The Messiah, and other annointed men of G'd such as Moshe (Moses). Just curious, whom were the annointed ones for the last ten generations?

You can just think about it. What I think is that not all off them are world renowned. If it wasn't for no one would know who Moshe was, but he would still be that Moshiach leader. Go back to the and how D'varim 24:16. How Balaam said that he sees him, but not now, he beholds him, but not near. He is speaking of two different people, or else why would he repeat the same thing over again. That is what shows us two, when a prophet repeats the same exact thing over again in sequence. It would be redundant otherwise, and scripture is never redundant; only clarifying. P.S. I think some of the leaders are those such as; keep in mind this is only an opinion, Ronald Reagan or Winston Churchill, or before I don't know, but I think that through Yohshuah HaMoshiach that same spirit can be born in Goyim as well.

Are you sure it is Devarim 24:16? I would not say that repeating a vision means that there are two different individuals involved. I would say that this is simply a way of confirming the vision (that it will surely come to pass) as we see in B'reisheet (Genesis) 41:32... "And for that the dream was doubled unto Pharaoh twice; it is because the thing is established by G'd, and G'd will shortly bring it to pass."Any thoughts? You can't be serious You really believe that Ronald Reagan, and Winston Churchhill are annointed messiah's? I have a hard time believing that anybody whom is not observant would be an annointed one as you speak of. The reason I say this is because this has not been the pattern of G'd as found in the scriptures. At any rate, I think we are getting a little of topic in regards to the actual Mashiach of YHVH. I am utterly sorry, the book of Bamidbar, and I was just joking about the Ronald Reagen thing, because I really don't know, but honestly, I believe that Rabbi Schneershon was one because he even performed miracles. About the dream, it was a dream. People do not always believe in dreams and a dream needs to be reproven, but even in that case it was refering to two seperate points. The 7 years before the children of Yaakov came into Egypt, and the 7 when the children of Ysroel left. Don't forget the pain that the economy of Egypt had during both of these droughts. The only difference was that the second one they never recovered from. That is why in the dream he did not see the fat cows or corn come back.

Thank you for clarifying that Could somebody be considered an annointed one of G'd just because he performs miracles? Also, could somebody be considered an annointed one of G'd if such a one rejects the current revelation of G'd as found in Yeshua HaMashiach? Shalom, Reuel

I honestly don't know, but he was definetly touched by God Almighty. My opinion is that certain great people are touched of God Almighty and do much and even they have that Moshiach spark in them, but nothing like that of those who accept Yohshuah HaMoshiach. For instance, none can doubt that Tony Hawk is a great skateboarder, or that Steven Spielberg is a great movie maker; they are touched by God Almighty in what they do, but (perhaps) are not accepters of Yohshuah HaMoshiach. I would say that David Stern and Leopold Cohen are some the great men with the powerful Davidic Moshiach spark.

How do we know that they have not been touched by another spirit? Cannot such power come from HaSatan? At any rate, let's try to get back on topic in regards to the rabbinical thought of two Mashiach's.

All I am saying is that that power can be used by God Almighty for his work and since he has power over HaSatan, he can turn that around. God uses whom he choses to use and I believes gives that little spark of Moshiach to whom he wishes; believer or not; because one must remember that we were not born believers, none of us.

In the Tenach there are numerous annointed ones. However, there are specific prophetic utterances about a specific individual who would be the annointed of Israel... HaMoshiach.
I do believe, as Judaism teaches, there is a "spirit of the Messiah". This spirit rested upon the prophets (and numerous others) but was fully dwelling in Yeshua.

Although there are numerous "annointed ones" there is a clear prophetic role for a Messiah, and Judaism recognizes this.

Many early Messianic Jews thought Ya'akov HaJashur brother of the Annointed to be the priestly messiah from what I've read.
Very fascinating study on the Metatron as well. In my studies I find a belive that Angel of YHVH, The Metatron, Mika'el and The Messiah to be the same person.

He is speaking of the writings of the Zohar, a Midevil work frought with Jewish mysticism. The teachings therein should be taken with a grain of salt and I don't believe it should be studied at depth until one has a sure foundation in the scriptures. In other words, unless someone can read the TeNaKh in Hebrew, they have better things to study. Just a word of caution, Reuel

Its just that several early Messianic writings give high-esteem to Ya'akov HaJashur (or James the Just) It would seem that he was the bishop of Jeruselum church and set up a messianic sanhedrin-like council. He was chosen to head it because he was the Messiah's oldest living male relative (his brother). In Josephus' works he is mentioned, and Josephus seem to have thought the destruction of Yarushalem came because the Rabbi's stoned this Just man to death. Some of these writings point to him as being the priestly messiah. I will try to find some links to some of the books. It's something worth researching.
