Hi,
My name is Bernie. I am African American. I do not eat unclean foods because of my introduction to Seventh Day Adventists. I am not a Seventh Day Adventist. I just have learned some wonderful things from them in the area of health.
I have learned some wonderful things from all religions and what is true, I keep. What is not true I throw away.
I am descended on both sides from Jewish Ancestors. Our Jewish master was our grandfather. And our grandfather from Austria on the otherside was Jewish. We just got the first hint recently that it is possible that our grandmother (whom after I am named) is Jewish also. We will be investigating that more, when money comes along to complete that. It does not seem to unreasonable that our grandfather who is Jewish came to America and married a Jewish woman but one does not want to jump the gun and just assume that. So we wait the results of more evidence. The only evidence so far is very slight to non-existent about her.
I also am descended from a family of preachers. So the bible is in my blood so to speak.
My father raised us with the idea firmly planted in our head that a Jewish man saved our familys life, when he first "walked" to Minnesota from Lousianna. The Jewish store owner would give my dad food for us kids(we were born in Minnesota). One day of course my dad had the chance to save his life, when the store was robbed and my dad snatched the gun from the robber. The Jewish man saved us. We saved the Jewish man. So all is well.
I also was raised politically and philosophically by a Jewish man. If you call drinking and smoking weed in some hippy type atsmosphere to be "learning". Smile.
That is my relations with Jewish people to speak of. One doesn't need to get into details of being a nursing assistant for years at a Jewish nursing home. Being a student of history and knowing quite a bit in that area. etc, etc. But that is there too.
I just wanted to come to this site to learn a few things related to the language and debleeding meat.
Dat's me.
