Hello,
My name is Steve Cohen, and I am a 50-year-old, Jewish believer of more then twenty-six years. I am disabled, and live on a meager income from SSDI. I live alone in the southwestern high desert of New Mexico, near Silver City, in an old travel trailer. I spend my hours serving our precious Lord as watchman over Covenant Tree Ministries. [Please see 'LINKS']
I am a first generation survivor from the death camps, where almost my entire family were killed and died. Only my mother, her father, and her brother survived from a very large family.
My mother, then twenty-nine years old, was working as a government translator [she spoke nine languages] and working to obtain her citizenship here in America. She became pregnant with me with a Jewish man [they were not married]. This man, my biological father was in a drunken condition and took it out on me crushing every bone in my body, and fracturing my skull , when I was only two, or so, weeks old. [It was right after my circumcision, and my diaper was wet. I suppose I cried, because it hurt] I was in a complete body cast for over two months.[ Perhaps later I can share what happened during this time; it is too personal now] My biological father got ten years for what he did to me. I am now suffering from the effects of that abuse.
I was adopted by two Jewish people, who were sadistic, and emotionally cruel to me. I wont go into the details, but my childhood was mentally, emotionally, and spiritually traumatic, beside being 'physically' intimidating [Please don't ask!]. I was Bar Mitzv'd in June, 1968, and began drawing a pay check when I was eleven-years-old. My adopted 'father and mother' died over thirty years ago; my adopted sister now lives in L.A.. [she too was adopted from a separate family. We are two months and three days apart; I being older]
I came to know our wonderful and precious Lord Jesus, in Kona, HI, in February, 1979. My life has been extremely hard, but good in our Lord. I praise Him for loving me, and trusting me with His message to the lost and hurting. I now share His comfort and blessing with those He brings to me.
Glory to God in the Highest; may all of creation praise Him. I praise God, my Lord and Savior, for His love toward me, and for the whole world. Yeshua is Lord!
Jesus loves YOU!
