I have been lurking about this forum and have been impressed with the uplifting manner in which messages are posted and the general level of sharing so....I decided to join. Thanks to the gatekeeper of the forum Reuel for permission to post. I am anticipating being in communication with at least some of you. Now a little bit about me. I am in my year of jubilee (50) and in my 32nd year as a believer and what a year it has been, barukh Ha Shem! "The road is long with many a winding turn"... but here we are pilgrims and strangers with no continuing city. Raised an army brat and baptized Roman Catholic at 9, inactive after 14, encountered Rebbenu v'Adonaynu Yeshua Ha Moshiach at 17 I joined an unusual church that preached spritual growth and the importance of all Scripture, particularly the types and shadows of the Tabernacle in the Tanakh, to illuminate how to grow to spiritual maturity. That experience also motivated my independent study of Hebrew and Syriac. From the beginning, I have always been DRIVEN by one question: what WAS it like to have walked with the Master during his sojourn on this earth and the days after his resurrection and moreover, how may I know Him, the Author and Finisher of my faith? In short, that question continues to draw me through life and has brought me here. Oh btw, I am not Jewish, though I did consider converting during two different phases of my life. Chesed v'shalom to all.. blessings and thanksgiving and glory unto Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask OR THINK...
