Hello to all! I am 27 years old, married for 6 years, and have 2 children.
My husband and I grew up in Christian homes (husband was from the AMISH). My husband left the Amish due to not agreeing with their way of life and started attending a verse by verse Bible teaching church around the time I met him.
After time he began to see many things that just didn't make sense and had a HUGE problem with the way the Church would avoid keeping the Laws of God. Also, Paul is one he has such a problem with.
He left the church about 4 years ago and I was UPSET! He would not allow me to go, and totally rejected Yeshua as the Messiah. He claims the people (church) would not be where they are today if it were not for Jesus coming into the picture.
Over the last four years I have come to be in total agreement with him on keeping the laws of God, however, our big disagreement is on whether Yeshua is our Messiah.
I look forward to being able to ask questions and get some answers when I need to. I'd love all the help I can get.
I've been reading a lot of the posts already and have found them quite helpful! Thank you!

Shalom and welcome Yearn2learn! We are very glad that you are here with us. We will be praying for your husband and your situation. Feel free to ask any questions you may have, start new discussons, or join a current discussion. Truly we can be confident that Yeshua is Messiah. Messiah only lifted up and made it glorious. It was men that twisted His teachings and the teachings of Shaul (Paul). The church is in the position that it is today because it has largely rejected the of the Father, not because of the teachings of Messiah. Therefore, it is my belief that your husband, like many others have not really rejected Yeshua…the true Messiah. I believe what they have rejected is what the Church has taught about Yeshua and His disciples. And, I don’t blame them. It is because of the false gospel that has been preached that many reject the one called “Jesus”. In other words, they have preached another person, and not the true Messiah presented by the scriptures. Shalom aleychem b’shem Yeshua HaMashiach (Peace be upon you in the name of Yeshua The Messiah), Reuel

Welcome to Ahavat Elohim yearn2learn! I agree with Reuel in that your husband has not rejected the true Messiah, but the false one. Once he learns of the true Messiah he will find that and belief in Messiah are inseperable. We will be praying for you both. Shalom u'berucha b'shem Yeshua (Peace and blessings in the name of Yeshua)
