Hello all.

I am looking forward to engaging with the forum.

Having undergone a transition I am aware that in order to understand what Yeshua was talking about it is necessary to learn something of Judaism. I have been active on other discussion fora but have read the posts here and I get the impression you are a pretty supportive and knowledgeable lot.

I am not Jewish and I no longer consider myself Christian which makes living in a small country town in Queensland a bit of a challenge - there are no like minded communities within hundreds, if not, thousands of kilometers from here - so you guys are it. Sorry to thrust that on you in my initial post

So... you're a missionary, then! Halelujiah! I think you will find most interesting posts that are from rej1s because his situation is not so very different. I encourage you to actively seek out others who may believe similarly to you. There are some sneaky ways to do this- one is to sbmit pro- letters to the letters to the editor in your local newspaper. Other pro- folk may contact you. Another resource is a local advertisement in a want-ads paper, a community bulletin board, or a flier on the window of your grocery store- just plainly say that you believe the Laws given in the Old Testament are for our good and you would like to meet and discuss with others who believe similarly. (Note that there are possibly lawless zealots who may contact you wanting to mend you of the error of your ways. If you are like me, you invite these opportunities- I am combatant by nature; otherwise, itis perfectly fine to tell them that you are not interested in debate but you are looking for fellowship with those who might be in agreement with ).

Welcome to the group. I hope that we are an encouragement and support to you- hopefully not too confusing. We are an eclectic mix and often disagree on things; but I've chosen to call this particular forum "home" because Reuel (administrator) is relentless about keeping civility. The point to remember is that truth doesn't come from us- it is found in the Word of Adonai by His Spirit. It is our hope that our discussion brings you to Him. It is our if we should cause you to rely upon us.

Mark - Thank you so much for your response - but a missionary ?? - shades of Christianity at it's worst - but thank you for your pointers.

One of things I have noticed that the board is well moderated and posters do show respect for individual views - something which I think is paramount on any discussion board in order to make it work. I'm a bit of a confrontationalist - in the counselling style use of that word - but I hope I am sensitive to know when are where to do so. I look forward to coming closer to G-d through engagement here.

We are glad that you are here. Feel free to join in on current discussions or start your own. I agree with Mark, you should pray about initiating a fellowship where you live, it would no doubt be a blessing to both you and others like you that are looking for fellowship.

We use a lot of conversational Hebrew here so make sure to become familiar with the Hebrew vocabulary section of the forum and don’t be afraid to ask what something means if someone on the forum states something in Hebrew that you don’t understand.
