Hi,
As a Gentile (!), I am used to referring to the Tanakh as the Old Testament, or even the Jewish Bible, and to Jesus the Messiah as Jesus Christ, etc.
What's the general opinion on the use of these terms?

Richard We accept Old Testament, or even "OT." Jewish Bible, as long as not used derogatorily would be ok, though not the preferred common method. Jesus, or Jesus Christ (which technically "Jesus THE Christ" would be correct, since "Christos" is Greek for Messiah)- all are ok. When talking to Christians or even the unsaved I will use Jesus, since that is how most of the world knows him. So feel free. We look forward to discussions with you, whatever you call Him. I doubt this would be a problem with you, but as others will read this I have to point out whatever name you use it must be with utmost respect.

Thank you for the clarification. whatever name you use it must be with utmost respect. "We love Him because He first loved us." (1 John 4:19)
