Hi,

My name is Richard, and I'm an Eastern Orthodox Christian.

I have been heavily influenced by the Temple Theology of Dr Margaret Barker, and would like to share some ideas regarding how prophecies of the Messiah, both in the Bible and Jewish tradition, have been fulfilled in Jesus. Dr Barker worked with the Dead Sea Scrolls, and realised that there was a secret way to understand the Bible and Traditions, the secret being simply that they are describing the Temple rituals and related things. Hence prophecies about the Messiah which seem not to have been fulfilled actually have been. I'll post some ideas soon.

I looked up Dr Barker. She gets close to several ideas we hold here. However she takes things a little far at times. So my advice is to read the Rules and Guidelines and stay within them. Also, when asking about some of her teachings, don't overwhelm us. Keep it simple. Just post one idea in each thread, and just a few (2 or 3) threads at a time. You'll get more replies that way. Also be patient. It may take a while for others to respond. And I may wait a day or two to see if someone else wants to comment.
