Looking for an online, or respectful of the 6' covid rule for messianic studies. Most churches I check out got nasty dressed women, popcorn preachers (popping up and down for the almighty.... dollar). They give good feelings and not hard truth. Im looking for a group who studies the bible, not has "tea on saturdays with the congregation". I do a study on my own, with my family but I want to see if there are any real fellowships. I came from the Black Hebrew Israelites, and even if they are a cult, **they break the bible down like a military**. Thats the part I want.

Glad to see you are came out from the Black Hebrew Israelites. Sadly they are not the only blight on the contemporary Messianic Movement. But there are many good fellowships out there, and any true Messianic fellowship will break down and parse out scripture to find its true meaning. So my advice is to go to as many as you can find and see which suits you best (and which are just 'flying the flag'); but in all of them use a lot of discernment. I doubt you'll find one you totally agree with, but there should be some points you hold as absolute. A good example might be the eternal deity of Yeshua. If they even waffle a little bit on that point, they are probably some type of Ebionite and not Messianic (though they often try to fly our flag to sucker people in). But know what those points are for you and do not compromise on them. I'd imagine Houston would have a few fellowships you could try out.
There are some good online courses you can do to supplement what you learn. The Israel Bible Center does courses geared more to Christians, but very Messianic and they definitely break down scripture. Torah Resources also goes deep into scripture and they are much more geared to Messianism. And I'm sure there are others.
Hoping you find a place nearby. I travel to meet on Shabbat, but then I live in a rural area. I travel to do just about anything. Hopefully Houston will have a few more opportunities.

Theres a lot of rich white people in churches, theyre really stuck up and have prosperity preachers, then there's fake Joel Osteen, and churches like his, then you got the BHI, stomping their feet. My wife liked 2nd Baptist, but it was too.... Pagan with the crosses, easter, christmas, ect. and I'm there for the word, but it all seemed a little too much like theater to me, and not sinners seeking redemption there. It's the way of the world. I study with my family at home, and that is great in itself. Thanks for your response. Looking for an online, or respectful of the 6' covid rule for messianic studies.
