The Zohar says: "If a man walks in the ways of YHVH, but transgresses by accident, every creature below and above helps to conceal it" However, Rabbi Ya'akov says: With what purpose is the sin going to be concealed? And to what extent are creatures going to conceal it, that is if they can. Did not Adam and Eve try to conceal their sin with fig leaves, yet were discovered? If one walks in the ways of YHVH, let him or her examine himself or herself in their walk. When a transgression occurs, let the sin NOT be concealed, but confessed, and confession will gain forgiveness. If not, do no the scriptures say that whatever is hidden, will be shouted out at the rooftops. "because whatever you said in the darkness will be heard in the light, and what you spoke to the ear in the inner-chambers will be proclaimed on the housetops." (Luke 12:3) So, if one says; " I am going to hide and conceal this sin." it will eventually be "proclaimed on the housetops" Moderator note: Zohar is the foundation for Kaballah. It is Jewish mysticism. Not sure if R Ya'akov here is contradicting it in the text or from outside Zohar. Ein Ya'akov is normally found in Talmudic midrashim, and in both points of view which seem to contradict there may be profound truths (as is the case here). We must however be careful when reading Zohar, as those truths can also hide some very wrong (and often just plain weird) doctrines. I must place a warning about the "truths" found in Zohar whenever I see such a post: theloveofgod.proboards.com/thread/5198/zohar
