Shalom and thanking you for approving my account,
My name is James. I'm fairly new to the Messianic walk of life but have attempted to immerse myself in it. I've located a very friendly Messianic Congregation and have enjoyed my time with them. My background is absent any religious base; I sparsely went to church a few times as a child but was never forced to attend. My wife on the other hand had the opposite background as she attended services every Sunday.
These last few years I have soul searched for what I feel is right in the eyes of our creator, and did some investigative research in Judaism. I attended quite a few Friday Erev Shabbat services, virtually (due to Covid-19), but after some thought I did not feel this was quite right either. By the grace of HaShem, my employer relocated me near my birthplace in Texas and landed just miles of the aforementioned Congregation who have welcomed me with open arms.
With all of that said, I once again thank you for approving my account and look forward to conversing with you all!

And a fellow Texan (though I am "misplaced"- my wife is English and she can't take the heat, so we, uh, "compromised" and moved about a half a state away from Canada).
Glad you found a good congregation there. That is very important. I've had to do this alone when I started, and that is not easy. Fortunately there are a few congregations within commuting distance in the region now, and that makes all the difference.
Welcome to the forum. If anything we can do to help your journey, just ask.

Toda raba achi,
I moved from Pennsylvania back in December. Canada (Niagara/Toronto) is a beautiful place; You should definitely look into touring this beautiful little town called Dunnville. I'm contemplating maybe living there a year or so once I retire (25 years from now).
