I am not finding a definitive answer on this.

Ancient Cush and Midian lay on opposite sides of the Red Sea, so they were very close, more or less joined at the northern end. Cushites were dark skinned, so if she was a Cushite woman from Midian (entirely possible) she'd be notable as both. While there is some debate about whether this speaks of one woman (wife) or two, most believe this speaks of one very interesting and godly woman.

So this remains a mystery right, something no one has the answer to?

So this remains a mystery right, something no one has the answer to? Like many things we are left to wonder and ask questions. We do not always get things wrapped up neatly with all the answers.

The Miriam/Moses story was the only thing people had to show that God condemned racism but I have to wonder why all racists who are Christians don't see that, can it be because it came from the OT which they generally tend to ignore?

People see what they want, otherwise there'd be no Christians; just a whole lot of Messianics.
