Baruch haba be'shem Adonai!

I just wanted to say I have spent many many hours reading the threads here and all the wonderful scriptural interpretations.....

The only thing I have to say is Baruch haba be'shem Adonai

This is the first time I have ever heard the teachings of Elohim made so clearly and concisely!

This forum and the members are such a wonderful blessing to me!!!
My husband and I had left the church we were attending, and I am so grateful to be able to come here for meat of the Word! We were attending a gentile church, on the belief that the Ruach HaKodesh had brought us there to teach them. Without going into a long story, I will just say that the pastor had prayed for such to happen, and Adonai brought us. But the assistant pastor who was obviously not so interested decided to start teaching Replacement Theology Needless to say we left.

The pastor has fallen back into the "only grace needed" line of thinking, and just doesn't see that what his assistant is teaching is heresy.

We no longer have a body to fellowship with, so I am so thankful for Ahavat Elohim Forum!

Jo, I too am enjoying reading most of the threads, and will eventually post my introduction, but regarding your comments, "Replacement Theology" is indeed incorrect, however, regarding "grace only needed", I assume you're referring to "for salvation". This is correct. The word of Adonai says:

Eph 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Eph 2:9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.

As you study the you'll learn the heart of God, and will desire to obey Him because the Ruach HaKodesh lives in your heart. Obedience isn't required for salvation, but there are always consequences for disobedience, in this life and the next. (And one of those consequences is not loss of salvation.)

No I don't mean for salvation, I mean that the associate pastor started a teaching series saying that the has been replaced by the B'rit Chadashah and the Jew has been replaced by the church (i.e. gentiles) that the law was a curse and had been replaced by grace, and it is only grace that one needs to live righteously. He even went so far as to say that Sha'ul (of course he called him Paul) had renounced his faith as a Jew and had become a Christian.
I am a Messianic Jew, born and raised as a Orthodox Jew. My husband is also a Messianic Jew, although he was raised somewhere between conservative and reformed Judaism. We follow , as we believe that Yehsua HaMashiach followed , and all the Talmidim followed , including Rav Sha'ul. That one cannot know the will of Elohim without , so one could not follow Elohim's will on their own accord, and to live without faith in Elohim and His is death. As His Word says, faith without works () is dead! Just as works without faith.

Sorry to hear about your situation in the church. It is unfortunate that these things are still taking place, when scripture is so clear about the unique and distinct calling of Israel and the Jewish people.

I know of at least 4 Messianic congregation in Minnesota, but I don't know where you are located.

Something that might work when debating "Leaders/Teachers" from the "Institutionalized Church"
Start with something they were taught in seminary, that they know and most will agree with.
First that in , we have HaShems plan of redemption;
In Bereshit, we have Origins, the fall, and the promise.
In Sh'mot, we have a picture of Mashiach as our sanctuary.
In Vayikra, we see Mashiach our sacrifice.
In B'midmar, we have Mashiach our guide.
In D'varim we find Mashiach our reward.
Then ask them; "If the "Law" was "Nailed to the cross", why is also here in your "New Testament". Then show them.
Here's an abbreviated list of verses:

Yitzchak, I am afraid that the nearest Messianic congregation to me is 110 miles, which is just a hair to far to travel on a regular basis.

Rick, you are a wealth of wisdom! Thank you! If Adonai presents that opportunity to me I will do just that. As it is, I had already emailed both the Pastor, and asst. Pastor rebuttal to what was preached that evening, and sent the asst. Pastor info on books for him to read. I am not sure that after he has gone through (if he reads any of it) I will ever hear from him again. The Pastor is a good man, but......
I think right now the best thing I can do for them and the congregation that is being fed the heretical teachings, is to pray for them.
