I have been having dialogue for a while now with a Christian and every time I bring up Christ commands to observe Sabbath she will mention things like "no longer under the law and nailed to the cross and Christ is our sabbath.
I asked a senior Catholic Priest why they don't observe Sabbath and he said "the church changed the day". Another woman said she loves Christ and chooses to worship him on his day of resurrection. Couple weeks ago I heard a a well known Pastor on Daystar tv say the most stupidest thing I have ever heard that "Abraham was nobody special to God, we all have the same blessings".
I don't get these Church Christians, if they love Christ as much as they claim then why aren't they obeying ALL of his commands? Since Christ said "if you love me keep my commands" I am wondering if it is possible to love Christ and obey only "some" of his commands??

Try asking these people if they run their homes like they claim God runs his. Ask her if her husband committed adultery and ask for forgiveness, would she not only forgive him but tell him that he is no longer required to stay true to her but is free to commit adultery as oft as it pleases him. Or if her child draws on the wall, will she forgive him and allow him to draw on the wall all he wants. This is actually a description of hate not love. Proverbs 12:1 Whoso loveth instruction loveth knowledge: but he that hateth reproof is brutish. Proverbs 13:24 He that spareth his rod hateth his son: but he that loveth him chasteneth him betimes. Proverbs 15:10 Correction is grievous unto him that forsaketh the way: and he that hateth reproof shall die. Heb 12:5 And ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh unto you as unto children, My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him: 6 For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth. 7 If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not? 8 But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons. 9 Furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh which corrected us, and we gave them reverence: shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and live? 10 For they verily for a few days chastened us after their own pleasure; but he for our profit, that we might be partakers of his holiness. 11 Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby.
People who refuse to be subject unto the laws of God are anarchist. They be bastards not sons of God.

While I lean more towards what jimmie says, I am not quite so absolute. And he may be absolutely right- not absolutely disagreeing either. I've always said I do not absolutely know the lines demarcating salvation. My response is as always, and as I just said in reply to your other post: the farther we get from and Yeshua the more danger we are in from Hell-fire. Plus, if you are really saved, do you not want to please the Almighty by doing what He said? You say you imitate the Christ, yet He was a observant Jew! If I can show that He never changed a law or made a new one, nor did He ever speak out against or anything in it, shouldn't that make a difference? And we as Messichi should stand always ready and able to answer to those things.

Try asking these people if they run their homes like they claim God runs his. That's a good point Jimmie. Whenever their kids don't follow their rules, do they like it, don't they get steamed? Won't God get angry at us whenever we don't obey ANY of his commands?
