I'm not sure what you should do Garrett.
Here is where I run into conflicting feelings the most......the only more appropriate place I can imagine you going according to G-d's will as a Jewish person is Israel. I know that's fearful in a similar but more pronounced way. I'm just thinking things through here more rhetorically Garrett. They are acting to keep you from there also so the synagogue in the US is a smaller picture of the bigger problem related to G-d's will for you in my mind.
This is where I get confused with our understanding of prophecy as it relates to real world events. I think it's clear there's more to it, either more restrictive or less in G-d's eyes than modern day practice and understanding if we believe Jewish people are currently being regathered.
First, we know G-d considers Jewish believers in Yeshua as Jews so then the call and command in G-d's eyes must apply to them. Yet, they're being ostracized and prevented from returning by modem day Jewish practice and Israeli polices.
Then, compound that with those whose families are believers, but not Jewish. What does He want them to do? We know the marriage is valid and blessed.....It sounds so extreme I'm afraid to say it, but look at biblical accounts (Ruth abd Rahab) and remember Yeshua leading that family. Then it's not so extreme. Instead, it's more just against G-d's way to disallow them and their families.
I've thought well maybe the regathering occurs after the rapture, which kind of does away with all these issues. Yet we're seeing and being told it's happening now. If so, then what about Jewish believers and their families, especially if their spouse is Gentile? I don't see how that fits into these events except to anger G-d, but then I think either we don't understand something or there's more to what G-d will do than what we're seeing because it's His will they return
I also don't understand the idea that if your father is Jewish but not your mother, you're not. I've been perplexed by this for a while as Biblical descriptions seem to pass everything down, including covenantal promises, through the male lineage. Further, we see women being brought into Israel through marriage to Jewish men....I don't understand the logic then in saying the child of a Jewish man is not Jewish. I just can't see it in scripture, which adds to my feelings that G-d and Jewish policies are not compatible on this.
Anyway, based on what I'm hearing, if your wife is uncomfortable there and feels like not attending but is trying to keep Sabbath as a follower of Yeshua, I would focus on that and trying to get some sort of home group going. Even if it's just one other couple or family you guys can worship with, it's worship and fellowship. That's what I'd be praying for if I were in your situation based on my limited understanding of it and after having thought things out more on a larger level. We should be wary of any situation that may somehow divide a family but especially a believing family because you can have real unity and therefore a lot of influence.
