This, the Shabbat immediately preceeding Pesach is Shabbat HaGadol שבת הג דול, "Great Shabbat.”
Shabbat haGadol mevorach, a blessed Shabbat haGadol, and may your Pesach be a joyous time as well.

Things seem to be better this year in terms of not being so to myself. I have included a couple of my friends a bit more in my beliefs with gift baskets. Several people said "have a nice holiday" instead of Happy Easter to me this year I noticed, so that seems like progress. They also seemed really appreciative.
My parents came for the weekend. I just had a nice dinner with some readings after in Friday because everyone including ne was tired. My mom and I actually went through a Seder reading with the kids yesterday. She was really helpful with the kids and her enthusiasm, and though there was a lot of mistakes and difficulty with the kids, by the end of it they were participating nicely.
So though it's not particularly great by other people's standards I'm sure, it's definite progress in my life.
I hope everyone else is having a nice holiday as well.

Mine was ok. I went over to Mark's for the seder, but I was so beat- just tired, no energy- I had to leave early. Even then I had a few close calls on the way back, cat-naping behind the wheel. But at least I attended a seder. Wife tried to pick a fight about throwing out leaven, but I was just too tired to fight. I got enough sleep I was able to write the next par'shah on Shabbat. That's always good when that happens. Rabbi is still overseas. They keep offering him time on different radio stations, with interpreters. So there was no communal seder with the synagogue this year. abut he said he is coming back in the next couple of weeks, regardles.
All in all, it's been a good Pesach so far.
