There are, I believe, 11 additions to the book of Esther. How do you view these? Holy writ? Valid additions? Pseudepigrapha?

Dan C Wow, came across this one in the archives. Since no one else offered an opinion, I'll tell you mine. They are all pseudepigraphic works. The writing style and details show them to be later works, from the 2nd cen CE to the 2nd BCE. So does their focus and message. Also the original book does not specifically mention God, although His hand can clearly be seen behind the scenes, manipulating events to save His people. All the extra "chapters"/books do mention Him. I have heard it taught that these "lost" chapters should be added to scripture by competent men who should know better. Everything written does not belong in scripture. Nor was all of it "lost," then found just before or after Yeshua. This is important for us to understand.
