Greetings to all! I am Az, born in Pennsylvania USA in the early 1970s. I was born into an agnostic family with grandparents which included practicing Catholics and Presbyterians. At age five I began to understand the Holy Spirit, which setup a lifetime of guidance and education by the Spirit. I have studied with many sects of Christianity; Jehovah Witness, Mormons, Catholics, and several ‘nondenominational’ forms of Christianity, and also Islam. I also read about any other form of spiritualism available. I joined the LDS Church at age 29; where I have been confirmed into the Melchizedek Priesthood. My stance with the LDS Church at this time? I believe Joseph Smith was called by G-d to be a Prophet, to restore the Priesthood of G-d, to build Temples, and a few other tasks, but became a fallen prophet in his pride. I believe the LDS Church is a great work, and will be a key entity in the End of Days. I believe most ‘tribes’ who ask the Spirit for guidance will have a Prophet bestowed to them. I believe the idea that one ‘tribe’ is the only who is correct, is a belief propagated by the Adversary and is a manifestation of evil. During my time studying with the LDS, I worked on building my family tree. Genealogy is an important component to the LDS faith. I testify everyone could benefit from establishing their genealogy. I discovered I’m Ashkenzai Jewish. I have 6 of my 8 grandparents lines back between 1000-5500 years. This discovery led to me becoming more and more interested in Jewish culture and tradition, and also studies. Considering my Christian background in my studies, and my recent inspired interest in modern Judaism, I am led here. There is a part of my life that I have kept nearly completely private from when I became aware of it since age five, until February of 2018. I’m close to the The Spirit for some greater purpose, and I’m commanded to seek out others who believe the same of themselves. Do you have some reason to think you are to know me?

Well, you are here so yes, that is reason enough to know you, unless there is some deeper meaning to that question. Interesting background. I'm curious though; did the Holy Spirit lead you to study your Bible? Did you pay particular attention to any one portion? Messianic Judaism tries to interpret scripture from the perspective of a 1st cen Jew. We are not Rabbinical Judaism, nor are we Christian. Both of those faiths have far too many false doctrines and practices; Christianity much moreso than Judaism. Mormonism is a bit different. They are closer to us in some things, like they are already keyed in on obedience. But they have a lot of really bad doctrines, starting with their modern day prophets such as Smith. His teachings (or others) would not be considered valid evidence for any theological view here. We believe and the Law are still in full effect. Anything that disagrees with is not holy writ. We keep the feasts of the Lord, not Easter and Christmas. And we keep the Biblical Shabbat. And we try to interpret the Word correctly, in agreement with . SO if you are down with all that, then again, yes, there is a reason we should know you. Welcome to the forum! Dan C

Dan C I’m not ‘down’ with the idea that Smith’s fall invalidates all of the revelation or prophecy he might have received on behalf of his ‘tribe’. I’ll always stand by my belief that any tribe who asks with a contrite heart will receive His guidance by the mouth of a Prophet called to receive for them. If my belief that G-d scattered a full and perfect truth of His will for us throughout many regions over different periods for the grand purpose of setting the stage for Messiah to return and reconcile all religions, to rebuke the arrogance of the Adversary, and will fulfill all the true prophecies.

I realize this person is banned, but feel the need to say for the sake anyone reading this forum - this spirit the poster referred to is not the Holy Spirit as all of the ideas were scripturally wrong. Also, if any spirit leads you into a sense of pride, entitlement, or accusation, be wary.

I’m not ‘down’ with the idea that Smith’s fall invalidates all of the revelation or prophecy he might have received on behalf of his ‘tribe’. Joseph Smith created the LDS' religion and he is so deeply revered by the LDS that it seems hard to say that his spiritual failings don't reflect badly on his religion. "By their fruits ye shall know them." I feel similarly about Calvinism and Lutheranism, since so much of them are based on the roles of their founders that the founders' own morals or failings seem to have a serious impact on how one should evaluate those respective churches, although their personalities are not an absolute "litmus" test for judging their creations.
