Hi there everyone...

it has been a bit of a journey to get here ...

I had no religous up bringing and became very involved in the occult.... suddenly one day I became aware of God.... I mean really aware.... nose to nose aware.... had no clue what to do about it....

Long story short....found a church and started to go (this was 18 years ago 2 days before my 38th birthday)... in fact went to everything that went on... I was so hungry for God. Luckily (or should I say by the grace of God ) I made the assumption that all Christians had read the bible.... so that's what I did... I read it and read it again and again.... and well I am sure you get the picture....

I had no idea that most Christians had not read it all.... or that a lot concertrated on certain parts..... when I found out that some never picked it up at all and quite a few were happy with a verse a day from a devotional it left me very confused....

So I continued on my merry way reading... studying....thinking.... and hopefully growing..... I didn't stay in my original church which was an Anglican one (I am in the United Kingdom)  seven years ago I came into the Catholic church.

So right from the beginning of my walk I have been aware of the Jewishness of Jesus.... because well... it's in the book for those who care to look....  and I could never understand why there was  such a separation of how people looked at the Old Testament and the New.... because well surely it's all one story.... one beautiful story..... I even hears people use the phrase "the God of the Old Testament" as if God was a job title and one guy resigned and another chap took over.....

So I ended up with lots of questions humming around in the back of my mind..... like... why are we not celebrating these feasts... why aren't people associating them with the Messiah.... why is that Jesus over there looking so blond... why am I eating this bacon sandwich.....

Then while searching for information on the feasts I came across a Messianic Rabbi on youtube and have gained some wonderful insights from his messages..... I also have a couple of Messianic bibles and those are very informative too.....

then I found this forum .... and as I continue on my merry way still reading.... studying..... thinking and hopefully continuing to grow I am hoping that I will be able to find some answers here

Welcome to the forum! We'll try to answer any questions you may have. We are a small forum based on the truth. So unlike other forums where people can write and teach anything we have few members. But most of them are very knowledgable. And there is a lot of good information in the older posts here. Feel free to revive one of those if you want more discussion on it. Of course new posts are always welcomed.

Do you have a Messianic synagogue nearby? Even if you could go and keep the feasts with them. You have t be careful though, as not al are true Messianic synagogues. Feel free to ask our help finding one if you need us.

thank you..... I have had a google to try and find a Messianic synagogue near by but there doesn't seen to be anything.... I am in the UK by the way.

Those two, one on Greek hermeneutics, and the second more inportant on on Hebrew hermeneutics are a good place to start. They should inform most of what you learn about the Bible.

After that, we try to keep everything arranged by topic. So you can browse through the menu (as it were) and find something you like. If you want to revive a thread for more discussion  just post on that thread and ot will move back to top of the cue. And of course you can always open a new tread.

thank you for the welcome Elizabeth I have to admit though I never found my way to Him... He just made me see He was there
