Homosexuals on David and Jonathan.

Hey. I want to hear your take on these verses when it spoke about that Jonathan loved David as his own soul and David said that your love more wonderful to me than
love of women.


1.Sam 18:1
1 And it happened, when he finished speaking to Saul, the soul of Jonathan was knitted with the soul of David; and Jonathan loved him as his own soul.

2.Sam 1:
26 I am distressed over you, my brother Jonathan. You were very delightful to me; your love was wonderful to me, more than the love of women.

Some homosexual people have tried to use those scripture places justify homosexual love.  How would you explain these scriptures to homosexual or lesbian people.


In first 1. Sam 18:1 it is used hebrew word ahab translating english word loved.

Some homosexual people have said that when ahabah word is speaking of man toward man, love that it can be same love than man between woman.. My take on would be that
that would be so contradictory because  David was man after God's heart. If David would have been homosexual relationship with Jonathan it would be clearly seen and also in that
time did  they also stone people who practised homosexuality during the old covenant:

Leviticus 18:
22 And you shall not lie with a male as one lies with a woman; it is a perversion.

Leviticus 20:13
13 And a man who lies with a male as one lies with a woman, both of them have done a detestable thing; they shall certainly be put to death; their blood shall be on them.

So David would have been killed if he would have been slept with Jonathan like it is said in .

These thoughts came to me about what these homosexual people have commented relationship with Jonathan.. Also they have said they have found evidence for that, but only good evidences of historical times are found in pentateuch, right concerning the biblical events what happened in Old Testament.

Homosexuals have to do a lot of digging to find something they can pervert to support their vile practices in the Bible. It is obvious that men can love other men without there being a sexual component. Especially when they'v fought together, shared common cause, and overcome adversity. Or just they've grown up together.

If you are trying to convince a homosexual they are wrong on this, good luck, my experience s they will hold tightly to their error here in a desperate attempt to find another way into heaven:

1 Corinthians 6:9-10 (NASB) Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor the covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers, will inherit the kingdom of God.

I also think G-D worked for Jonathan's sake because he was in the position of choosing between David and his father. G-d is G-d, David was G-d's anointed, but Saul was Jonathan's father. He had similar but more pronounced conflicts we all have in this fallen world in terms of devotion and obligation. As such, I think G-D helped Him by clarifying where his devotion belongs by uniting his will and soul with David who was united with G-D. I found myself asking G-d to give me clear lines and choices the other day l because the truth is this world doesn't.  As plain and simple as He made it, the world complicates it so we are left wondering over what should be clear. Anyway, I think perhaps this is how G-d helped Jonathon deal with his circumstances of having Saul as his father while also reassuring and validating David who was in worldly kingship limbo at the time. So there was a lot of G-dly understanding and reassurance between them that they simply wouldn't find anywhere else in the world. I think G-D has a way of sending people into the lives of some who provide a G-dly reassurance and validation otherwise impossible; Elizabeth for Miriam, Yochanon for Yeshua for example. It's almost a heavenly or spiritual validation from a place on earth, and I think G-D just understands that especially those called on this level sometimes need that.

Also, the fact that David says "more than a woman's love" indicates to me that he was talking about a deeper relationship than sexual. Honestly, I think this world knows very little about love, and what happened between these two is something non-believers simply won't understand. Listen to the music around you that you can't avoid, and you will hear how most "grown-ups" view love.  It's very superficial and one-dimensional to say the least. Maybe if they can start thinking of brotherly and familial love you can get somewhere, but that's assuming they can understand or are willing to talk about that.
