Shalom! Newbie checking in. My given name is Joe Gallion, and my wife and I have recently come out of the 'system' of Christianity, having experienced everything from the pentecostal movement to roman catholicism, and having been led to the truth of by the Set-Apart Spirit, we are studying and learning (and unlearning) much! I am happy to have found this forum, and grateful to be a member here. May our time together here be a blessed thing!

Hey there Joe, welcome aboard! This is a good place for those just coming out of Christianity. Glad the Ruach HaKodesh (Holy/Set Apart Spirit) led you here! Spend some time in the older posts. There is a wealth of information there, organized by topic. And if you want more or have questions you can revive any thread by simply posting. Of course you can start new threads as well. If you have questions or insights don't hesitate to post them. We all learn by putting up our opinions and having others comment. I learn a lot from new as well as older posters. Sometimes we are corrected, including myself, and that is a good learning experience as well. (Check out my "I found Out I Was Wrong" thread) It might be a good idea to review the rules, but don't worry if you make a mistake. I don't usually issue warnings or reprimands unless the person continues to do the same thing or it is an especially egregious thing like disrespecting any of the names of our Elohim. Using the forum is a learning experience as well, but an easy one. Anyhow, happy to have you here! I hope you enjoy it and look forward to talking with you about Messianic Judaism and El Elohe Yisro'el! Dan

Hello Joe (and your wife),
I hope you get a chance to learn good things here. I came out of the same thing as you, a long time ago. I felt programmed and needed to get de-programmed by the "church" system. You might experience times of highs and lows. Please don't be discouraged during the lows and be sure to remember the highs, when you discover truth. It's a life-long process! Just do your best.

Thank you, alon and garrett. I believe my wife's handle is messianic5. She is a member here too. You can be sure that I will do much more reading than posting. Still getting my spiritual bearings since we left the rcc in february, but taking the Tanakh and the B'rit as one cohesive work, and taking everything in that context has opened the Scriptures up in a way I never thought possible!
