So today my husband and I got let go from the organization we were working for, mind you to reach Hasidism but my husband was asked he understand the Amelek to be Iran, if he stood that they should be destoried, to which my husband says yes (unless they repent). Therefore, we were asked to resign our post. Tough day but one has to stand by what  says. Now we are working on forming our own shul in Brooklyn to continue the work. Prayers appreciated |

I am truly sorry that keeping is thought to make problems for Hasidim, or talking to Hasidim. Why would keeping a firm grasp on the idea that the Amelekites are to be destroyed, as they were so condemned by G-d, to be a problem? Is this an excuse for some other festering problem that is not being explained perhaps? No matter, Abba will open a new pathway for you, using this to your benefit, and so I pray.

Sorry to hear that. But kudos to your husband and you too; you stood by your beliefs even in the face of adversity.
It sounds as though the organization you were with was more interested in appeasement of Iran and Islam than the truth. My understanding of the Amelekites is they originally inhabited the northern Negev. But as those lands were captured the people were dispersed just as the Jews were. We know they were in Persia (modern day Iran) in the book of Esther. Haman (stomp-stomp-boo) was, I believe, a descendant of Amelek. But they would be in other lands too. Some in the last century thought Germany was where the Amelekites went. Wherever they are, who knows how much political sway they have. But one of their traits is political deviousness, so they may gravitate to positions of influence.
One thing is for certain, Iran certainly acts like the Amelekites. They try to destroy Israel in the UN and by getting other Islamic nations to attack Israel for them. They manufacture weapons of mass destruction, and they distribute weapons of all kinds anywhere they can to destabilize the mid-east. Then they support the most vicious groups they can find to take over and act as their allies in the drive to destroy Israel. Iran should be destroyed to the point they can no longer threaten a lone camel-jocky riding along their borders insulting them and the demon Allah who they serve.
