Another Thought On Hebrew Brit Chadasha's

Shalom Dan,

     You know, I've got three Modern Hebrew Brit Chadasha's.

Although the translators may use a Greek text to translate from, in Modern Hebrew it's reads somewhat differently, then say the New American Standard New Testament.

That's probably as near as we are gonna get to having a completely Hebrew Brit Chadasha.

Unless as I said before, Ha Shem decides to pull off another miracle, sort of like finding the Dead Sea Scrolls in 1947.........only one year before the nation of Israel was reborn.

Just a thought. Any feedback?

I have heard that when the Greek NT is backtranslated into Hebrew it just comes alive. And yes, things supposedly read differently. I have one from The Society for Distributing Hebre Scriptures. Honestly, I should read more from it than I do. But I tend to use my NASB because I have notes scribbled illegibly in all the margins. And sometimes I can even figure out what I wrote, so ... That and most of it reads pretty much like just another translation. Maybe if I used it more I'd see what they mean.

I recently got two different translations from the Peshitta Aramaic...and find it fascinating that while much is the same from translation to translation (since I have a couple dozen different Bibles, the Aramaic text does have more information, or rather, clearer meanings in some of the more difficult passages to figure out. The Scriptures from Institute of Scripture Research, and the New Testament from the Peshitta from AENT is really quite good as well.
