Gatestone Institute's Khaled Abu Toameh:, perhaps the worst effect of the recent US/UN actions is the encouragement it provides the Palestinians to continue their international campaign against Israel, while still denying Israel's right to exist:
Buoyed by the latest United Nations Security Council resolution condemning Israeli settlements, Palestinian leaders are threatening to step up diplomatic warfare against Israel -- a move sure to sabotage any future effort to revive the moribund peace process. Other Palestinians view the resolution as license to escalate "resistance" [read that terror] attacks on Israel.
The UNSC resolution sent the following message to the Palestinians: Forget about negotiating with Israel. Just pressure the international community to force Israel to comply with the resolution and surrender up all that you demand.
Meanwhile, the Palestinians are not wasting any time by waiting for the international community to act. Rather, they are thinking of ways of taking advantage of the UNSC vote to promote their campaign to isolate and delegitimize Israel, especially in the international arena. One thing is certain: Abbas and the Palestinian Authority are not planning to return to the negotiating table with Israel. In fact, they are more belligerent, confrontational and defiant than ever.

Well for people who don't believe in the G-d who chose Israel, they certainly do a magnificent job of revealing Him. It's hard to watch and hard to put up with but the world will cause Israel to turn back to G-d, and therefore Israel's enemies destruction. What's more is He has already told them all about it. While the world marginalizes, G-d is further setting apart encouraging Israel's complete dependence on Him. It's just astounds and reassures me to see how much the world acts according to G-d's will and purpose in spite of itself. It's not so scary when I see the situation from that perspective. What scares me is that Jewish people are in this situation without the strength of Yeshua and His comfort and Spirit. That's beyond anything I can fathom because He's the only place I can find any hope for myself to overcome fear and the terror of the world. I can't imagine trying to get through this life heart and soul in tact without Him.
