So my husband, David, and I have been married about two months. It has been wonderful. We have chosen to trust HaShem regarding when we will have children as we would like many. Now, the enemy is plaguing me with fear or my own flesh is. I was due today for my period but did not get it - and my mind is racing - it's too early to tell if I am pregnant for sure...but the thoughts come like - can we afford a baby?, what if something goes wrong?, am I ready to have a baby?, and so forth.
For example, I would love to stay home with my future children...but fear we cannot afford it. I need prayer to trust G-d, that He will provide for us. Whether I am pregnant or not - I need prayers either way and maybe some words from others here who have had struggles of such kind. Could use encouragement.
Thank you

Mozel tov! And I will pray not only for you to trust in HaShem, but for your mission and your marriage.
No one is ever ready to have kids. If you are, then you are worried about them even before they are conceived. If someone really is not ready, they are probably all smug and proud about what they are about to do ... they have no idea! You sound ready. And prayer is a good start! My kids are all grown and gone, but I pray for them several times a day.

My wife and I were in college when she became with child the first time. After his birth she quit college to be a stay at home mom. I worked part time and finished my degree. My wife has never had a job outside of the home. And frankly I don't know how we would have made it, if she had had a job outside of the home.
You are in my prayers.

You'll be in my prayers as well. I believe you when you say you are scared - is this too early, can we afford everything yet, will the child be healthy? Every parent worries about these things and it's not unnatural to be scared, worried or to even panic a bit. I did in the past. You're not sinning or anything like that.
I'll pray that you can decompress a bit, clear your head and settle yourself down. The reason I say these things is because it was what I usually needed. Give this a little bit of time, regardless of whether you're "on time" or not and you might get a little more perspective on things.
G-d Bless You - garrett

Prayers that everything turns out exactly how it's supposed to.
