With all that's happening, I am curious what sources you guys find most beneficial for news from Israel. I am also wondering where to learn what is going on in the Messianic community there. I want to hear truthful news from people who love G-d and believe in His purpose. I hope to have more informed and effective prayers so don't want to just stir up fear and anger if possible. I don't know what you guys feel, but for me the most difficult issue to deal with is how Jewish hearts can stay in tact against such fear and hate without Yeshua. Especially when the whole world is blind to the evil they are up against. I don't want them up against this without Yeshua. I know it's all G-d's plan but this is so hard to watch. Praying that Yeshua is making himself undeniable to his people. Yeshua tells us to pray for our enemies. Surely that prayer answered is our best defense. I am just sharing that because, for me, it's the starting point of preserving my own heart. I can't imagine any child being born into such a place and coming out whole. That can only be accomplished through the G-d of Israel and His love in Yeshua. Praying Yeshua makes himself undeniable to the world.

I'm not enamoured with any of the regular news sources. Best you can do there is read several sources and, using more discernment than a Messianic in the cleristery, try to put it all together so it makes sense.www.ifcj.org/site/PageNavigator/eng/USENG_homenew?s_src=extPMF&s_subsrc=ESG1408XXEXXX&gclid=CJzik87ww8gCFUiIfgodrPUNqwRead some of Yael Eckstein's posts and blogs there.
Remember too, it was through the Jewish people we were shown both , the Prophets, the Writings and eventually HaMoshiach Himself. They have much to draw on; more I'd guess than most Christians. They must; the last 2 centuries have been no picnic for them.Yes, we are told to pray for our enemies. However it is also OK to pray against them! Those who would kill God's people, Meshiachim or Jew by birth, and yes even Christian, are under a curse from God. I pray as many Muslims as will hear the truth will receive the truth. But I also pray that anyone fireing a rocket at Israel will get the thing right back in his lap! Also given the choice to pray for the Muslim or the Jew, whether in battle or just in the matter of salvation, the Jew gets my prayers every time.
It is illegal in Israel to openly proselytize a Jew; but a Christian can convert as many Muslims as he wants! They know that every convert is one less potential terrorist or supporter of terrorism. So yes, pray for Muslims. But pray just as fervently against Islam, for it is by far the most evil religious/political/social system ever devised by collaboration of man and demons!
My opinion.

I also think we could challenge the secular world a bit; not on their beliefs but on their understanding. They cannot understand the conflict in the absence of G-d because, especially for fundamentalist Islam, this is all about G-d. We don't need to convince them there is a G-d to show them they simply cannot understand what is being asked for and sought in the absence of the concept. We just need to remind them that they cannot separate what a people say from what they do, and that beliefs and motivations inform actions and goals. In other words, they cannot understand the conflict outside of the context of it's religious motivations whether they believe in those motivations or not.
The concept of freedom, peace and equality as we understand it is not in Islam. We can show them this. We can show them that religion informs every part of fundamentalist Islam life, and that they are trying to project their own secular beliefs and understandings onto a people that have no concept of them. We need to show them that they don't understand what they are supporting because of fundamental differences in culture and beliefs. I know at some point, it just comes down to blindness, but we have to try to reframe what the world is seeing as best we can.

It's a secular news site/newspaper that has a lot of information as well as streaming news updates regarding things in Eretz Yisrael. It also covers global topics affecting Israel. There is a journalist named Caroline Glick, a contributing writer, who has some interesting things to say. She's a smart lady who made aliyah and served in the Israeli Defense Force. You can find this source at jpost.com Another source that gives some occasional updates about Israel from a Messianic Judaic perspective is Bibles for Israel, though they focus more on learning and religious topics. I would recommend subscribing to them. They send a weekly email that touches on every portion, haftorah and Brit Chadashah writings that are applicable. I love their Judaic focus on all things Messiah-related. And the subscription is free. Just came across this post. I know it's a bit older but I hope it helps! garrett
