In my private study with my kids we found some deeper meanings in Luke ch 15. First question why are there 3 parables in one ch? 1.coins 2. Sheep 3. Prodigal son. 1. Women represents the holy spirit. House rep church. Coins as objects dont know they are lost in the house. 2. Shepherd rep Yeshua. Feild rep those outside the church. Sheep know they are lost just not the way home. 3. Prodigals father rep G-d. Prodigal son gentiles. Older Brother Jews. Prodical knows he is lost n the way home. Needs Yah. Father runs out to meet son n gives a rob of righteousness to cover sin. Takes away the consequences. Brother jealous for younger son received same inheritance n forgiveness. Also like the parable of the Vinyard owner highering workers at different times of day n all get same wage. These deeper meanings are Yahs kingdom ways revealed. Also we see the G-d head revealed. Complete Jewish Bible Luke 15:20-24 So he got up and started back to his father. “But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and was moved with pity. He ran and threw his arms around him and kissed him warmly. His son said to him, ‘Father, I have sinned against Heaven and against you; I am no longer worthy to be called your son — ’ but his father said to his slaves, ‘Quick, bring out a robe, the best one, and put it on him; and put a ring on his finger and shoes on his feet; and bring the calf that has been fattened up, and kill it. Let’s eat and have a celebration! For this son of mine was dead, but now he’s alive again! He was lost, but now he has been found!’ And they began celebrating... This is how Yah sees us when we fall n then repent. No matter how bad it is n how far we strayed. Yah loves us welcomes us home with celebration. B'H

I hope I explained this revealation well enough for all to understand. If not I can use more details. Shalom freinds. I think you pretty much covered the basics. In my private study with my kids we found some deeper meanings in Luke ch 15. First question why are there 3 parables in one ch? ... Since chapter and verse dilineations were a later modification, I don't know if I'd read too much into that. A search turned up the following information:

Thanks Lou! I can completely relate to the blessings of studying the bible with children. They are so open to learning and believing, and it's us that they look to for guidance. It just requires we depend that much more on G-d, and so He grows us. Pretty amazing how He does things.
