I haven't formally introduced myself here so thought I'd add a little introduction here. 

My name is Jasper Edwards but I use the Hebrew name "Yedidyah Benayahu" on forums like this.  My Hebrew name is "Yedidyah" but I realized there are at least two other "Yedidyah"s on this forum! So I go by "Yedidyah Benayahu" or "Benayahu"...

I am somewhat a student of name meanings. Jasper is Persian for treasure. Yedidyah of course is Hebrew for beloved by the Lord. That would make you a treasure of the Lord. I was wondering if you selected your Hebrew name on that basis.

I actually didn't select my Hebrew name on that basis -- I didn't really connect the two meanings but that's neat!

I knew Jasper was Persian for "treasure" or "one who holds the treasure".  There is the Hebrew word "Yashfeh" which is the word for the precious stone jasper but it isn't really used as a name so I chose Yedidyah...my parents actually considered naming me "Jedidiah".
