Before you watch this, it is one of the things we should be combating. Like FFOZ, ole’ Joel boy has been getting ramped up and repackaged here recently. Don’t get sucked into this kind of thing just because they tag onto our movement!

This started and exchange in another venue about this character. This is the kind of thing that is out there right now, due in large part to mainC’s mishandling the issues. With permission, I am lifting mine and Rav S’s comments, but no one elses. So sorry if it is a bit disjointed, but I think you’ll get the gist.

Olsteen is involved in many a false doctrine. Too long to list here. But a couple months ago I posted a video of him teaching his congregation that they should keep kosher. By posting that I wasn't saying he was now good. I even said that in the comment I posted with it. What I said the video was good for was to use against Christians when they tell us we are judahizers etc. so if this is a response to that then I've already answered that. If you are just asking about this article then I'd point out that Joel AND the person writing the article are the same, they are both law breakers because the writer also is not  observant. It's the pot calling the kettle black. The writer is pointing his finger at Joel all the while he's no better.

He's way out of line talking like that about Paul, Peter and John. We're taught this disrespect in bible school and Sunday school because we read in the New Testament that Paul rebuked Peter in front of a group of people in acts because Peter was secretly eating with the Gentiles. I explain to my Talmidim that if I was there when Paul did that, I would've killed Paul myself. The story is a complete interpolation (addition) to the text. First of all, Paul knew that we are to first go to a brother in private. Two, Paul was subordinate to Peter. Had I been there and this man Paul, who was responsible for killing my relatives and or friends and fellow believers and he suddenly gets in my leaders face, Peter, who walked with my Saviour, I would've cut him down before he delivered his second sentence. What I'm saying is it never happened.
Am I attacking the concept of the New Testament that we have has errors? You bet. We don't have the original New Testament. What we have is a Greek copy of a hebrew text. There are errors and inconsistencies in it. Paul rebuking Peter is one of them. Rav

Amen! That there are errors and inconsistencies in the source documents we have for the New Testament is common knowlege to pastors. But they are also taught not to share this with their congregants. Osteens "rebukes" however go way past wht the Revs. know or what the Rav's talking about. Yes, there were redactions in the Greek texts we have- the church fathers say as much! But think about it- does anyone here believe that God's truth is not much bigger than man's pathetic attempts to add, change or delete it? Would a Sovereign God not watch over His texts better than that? Who is this Osteen to challenge the Word of God? I am thankful Rav teaches us to think, not to doubt!

The point is there is a LOT of this stuff out there trying to claim Messianic status when they are really of the synagogues of ha satan. So be careful. Be wary. Use discernment when viewing clips or reading. Just because they claim to be Messianic don't make 'em so!

I only got half way through it because it is a hard read emotionally.
The more people who hear what they want to hear, the more money he makes. The irony is how loving he can sound to the world when there is no love in him. He is preaching lies just to appease the masses, their indulgence, their lack of understanding, and his own ego.
Here's my two cents.
"You are of your father, the devil, and your will is to do your father's desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks out of his own character, for he is a liar and the father of lies." John 8:44
Satan is doing all He can to make the truth indiscernible. Yeshua, the Apostles and Israel are being attacked because their very legitimacy is the will of G-d that the world wants to destroy.
Our challenge is to help the world see the truth when they don't want to see it, and preserve the truth in a world that is trying to destroy it. I just pray for our strength and G-d's mercy as the world seeks to destroy the will of our G-d and all we hold most dear. G-d can handle it or He wouldn't be letting it happen, but it's so hard to watch.
Our example is Yeshua. In the world's eyes, it looked like they lost. We need to pray to have that same strength and love in the midst of hate and humility. So thankful He gave us His Spirit!
