PARSHA: "VaYIKRAH" (He called) enter the book of Leviticus
LEVITICUS 1:1-5:26 , ISAIAH 43:21-44:2 , HEBREWS 10:1-18
We are entering the book of Leviticus, and we see the introduction to the sacrifices (Ha Korbanot) and the different types, our goal is to see how they reflect Messiah Yeshua, since ALL the sacrifices point to Yeshua Ha Mashiach, point blank. The sacrifices only covered the sins of Israel, the Blood of Yeshua BLOTTED OUT, got rid of our sins.
THE BURNT OFFERING: relfects "Messiah the sacrifice lamb" the animal was a perfect animal, and it was completely consumed on the brazen altar, remember that the brazen altar symbolizes judgment of sins, the wood where the animal was placed on top of can symbolize the cross of Calvary, Yeshua went through the FIRE of judgment for our sins, The sacrifice was completely consumed, and the ashes deposited the next day outside the camp, as Yeshua was placed in a tomb outside the city.
THE GRAIN OFFERING: reflects "Messiah the Bread of Life" An israelite would bring the firstfruits of the grain harvest, wheat with oil and frankincense, Symbolizes our Messiah as "bread of life" and the "Ruach Ha Kodesh" (The Holy Spirit) and the frankincense, our prayers, We, who are anointed with the Spirit of God offer up our prayers, as frankincense when burned, goes upward. The priests could partake of the flour, make bread from it, as we partake of the "bread of Life" when we celebrate communion.
GOODWILL OR FELLOWSHIP OFFERING: Reflects our Messiah as "Yeshua Shalom" (Yeshua our Peace) it would be an offering of thanks for a blessing received, it would be a joyous occasion, maybe a bumper crop, more cattle being born, a new baby, etc, the offerer and the priest would sit down and eat of the offering, an animal from the herd, when we have church/synagogue BBQ picnics, we are in a way, offering a fellowship sacrifice, but the meat already comes prepared from the store, ready to put the BBQ sauce on and roast on a BBQ pit or grill
SIN OFFERING: "Yeshua the sacrifice lamb" someone who sins unintentionally
would bring a bull, and sacifice it, in all the blood sacrifices, the blood would be sprinkled on the altar 7 times and blood is placed on the horns of the altar, symbolizing the blood of Yeshua who bore all of our sins, past, present, and future
There was always provision for ALL the people, even the poor, who could offer up turtledoves, as the case for Mary and Joesph, and the rich, who could afford it, could offer a bull. The provision for our sins was made for ALL people, EVERYWHERE, and no more animal sacrifices were needed, all that is needed today is a contrite heart, a willingness to turn from sin (Teshuvah) and receive Yeshua as LORD, Savior, and Messiah, trust that HE bore ALL of our sins on Calvary, once and forever.

ISAIAH 43:21-44:23
YHVH states that Israel, instead of bringing sacrifices, with a contrite heart, is deep in sin, and for this reason, He brought in captivity, chastisement, and Israel was cast out of the land, However, God is not finished with Israel, He will forgive and reach out for the daughter of Zion, and many are returning with open hearts
and receiving Messiah Yeshua. "It is I who sweep away your sins, for my own sake and remember your sins no more" and this happened 2000 years ago on Calvary.

HEBREWS 10:1-18
"The is only a shadow of the good things to come" The points to Yeshua, who is the "Good thing that came" He took away the first (the animal sacrifices) to establish the second (Messiah's sacrifice) because the second was better than the first, the second, Messiah's sacrifice dealt with our sins once and forever, errasing them and not remembering them for ever, IF we come and confess our sins and accepting HIS "once and forever" sacrifice for sin.
Shabbat Shalom....................rabbi Ben Avraham
