PARASHA "TOLDOT"
GENESIS 25:19-28:9 MALACHI 1:1-2:2 ROM 9:6-16
This Parasha begins with the generations of Abraham, and we see the beginning of "B'nei Yisrael" We can see from Abraham to Isaac, from Isaac to Jacob and Esau,
Not many generations, HOWEVER....afterward, we see a "generation explosion" from the sons of Yitzchak and Rivkah, we see two classes of people, we see the sin nature at work in both sons, but one son comes to terms with YHVH and the other chooses the world,
We can learn a lot from our ancestors, our past generations, things what to do, and things what not to do. Seems like Yitzchak didn't learn a good lesson from father Abraham, because he also lied to AviMelech, concerning his wife, "She's my sister" Abraham pulled the same stunt with Pharaoh "Sarai's my sister" and they both became not so good witnesses before our Holy G-d.
However, we see the good that came, Yitzchak sent Jacob away to get a wife from HIS people, just as Abraham got Isaac his Rebecca. Perhaps some of our ancestors were scoundrels, banditos, horse thieves, etc...but that doesn't mean that we have to be that way too, I am sure that many of my paternal Ashkenazim ancestors did not believe nor accept Yeshua as Messiah, they may not have even been "religious" but I don't have to accept their life style as mine. We have to honor YHVH in our present generation, and be an influence for HaShem to those who will follow us after we have gone to be with the LORD.
We can also see that "Words count" they are alive, our words, and the LORD hears them all, such was the blessing of Isaac to Jacob in spite of the deceit . The words came to pass, as the words by YHVH to Rivkah:
"Two nations are in your womb, two peoples shall be separated from your body
One people shall be stronger than the other, and the older shall serve the younger"
We can see how this prophecy has come to pass, the peoples that came from Esau were all anti-God, Haman, and Rome, they were stronger, Rome subdued Israel, HOWEVER, in the end, ALL NATIONS will serve Israel
Yeshua came from the line of Jacob, generations later, and do we not all SERVE HIM? as our LORD and Messiah?
Yes, we all have the sin nature, and G-d will deal with each of us accordingly, just as he dealt with Jacob, but what is important is that we surrender to the will of YHVH, and learn to be guided by HIM. and pass this teaching along to our future toldot.

MALACHI :
"Jacob I have loved But Esau I have hated" We must understand the word "hated" also can mean "rejected" why? because Esau first rejected the LORD and the ways of the LORD. Do you think that the LORD has hated the billions of souls who are now in hell? No, he loved them all, yet they all rejected so good a Salvation, and a Holy God can not allow sin to enter heaven, so, the alternative was hell, I believe G-d cries whenever a soul hits the furnace of hell, but , whose fault? God loved them first.
There are many who follow the ways of Esau today, they follow the world and are in love with the things of the lost world, but as long as the breath of life is in them, there IS a chance of redemption through Yeshua

ROMANS 9:6-16
We see the same thing here. Not all are the children of God who are the seed of Abraham, Jacob and Esau were both "seed of Abraham" but one was accepted the other rejected, The TRUE "B'nei Avraham" are those who follow and accept the "Faith of Abraham" (Emuna Avraham) We follow the one true God and accept HIS chosen Mashiach, as our substitute on the cross which bore him. and we follow HIS ways, his mitzvoth, and form our life style in accordance to his .
Shabbat Shalom..........Rabbi Ben Avraham
