My name is Crisan Lucian, I'm from Romania. I'm Christian, Seven Day Adventist, I'm not a Jew but I want to be named by God a Israelite and to explain myself why, I want to relate to you a dream. I want very much to be close to God and in my dream God told me that the door of heavens open only for Israel, I understood that God want to give what I want with the condition to fight in prayer with Him like Jacob when God changed his name. I have been studying about people of Israel because of my dream to see if the message of God is more intimate that I think. Many years I thought that because the people of Israel crucified Messiah God abandoned them, but in my study of Romans chapter 11 I saw that the covenant of God with Israel is available yet and I have now more questions that before.
Hello, and Welcome!!
Yes, your dream is accurate. I too have dreams and visions on rare occasions when Abba wants me to do something I am not doing, or notice something I am not noticing. Abba is speaking heart to heart to more and more people all the time. It is the beginning of the time Joel spoke of:
Joel 2:28-29 (CJB)
28 “After this, I will pour out my Spirit on all humanity. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your old men will dream dreams, your young men will see visions;
29 and also on male and female slaves in those days I will pour out my Spirit.
The closer we are to the time of Yehoshua's return, the more people are having dreams and visions, and it will get moreso, just like the earthquakes, and the weird weather, and all the people fighting against one another, here there and everywhere.
Only about 40 to 50 or so men in the ruling body of the Jews supported the handful of Sadducees and Pharisees who worked hand in hand with Rome and Pontius Pilate to crucify our L-rd. The people, the regular people wanted very much for Yehoshua to begin to reign at once, and kick out the Romans, and make their lives peaceful, not realizing that the Gentiles still had to be called to G-d, as was promised to Abraham, and that both Jews and Gentiles needed to be taught that it was by trust in G-d that they were saved...and that only blessings rested on obedience to , while cursings came for dis-obedience.
Abba wanted the Israelites to be a light to the whole world, but the was given to reveal just how sinful man was, and all the Israelites had trouble just staying in obedience to as the natural outworking of their trust in YHVH, just as the rest of the world found out it was hard to not sin even with the Holy Spirit teaching us, and guiding us.
Our human nature must be changed, and when Yehoshua returns, and our bodies are made Incorrupt, our hearts will have the commandments written in them, just like our instincts are written into us, and we will simply obey the commandments we need to live and grow, and show that we are indeed the Son's of G-d.
What a blessing that will be, to not have to be always fighting human nature, but to have more of G-d's nature within us permanently, and simply always desire what G-d wants for us, because He already knows what would suit us best, what works best, and what would make us happiest.
The only way for the Mosaic Covenant to be extended to the world was by Yehoshua dying and being resurrected to show that He was G-d, tabernacled in human flesh, come to redeem us all from our very human inabilty to be obedient....not just for the Jews, but for the whole world, if only they would choose to follow in Yehoshua's footsteps.
But politics and the lust for power entered in, and Yehoshua died, as prophesied in Daniel:
Daniel 9:21-27 (CJB)
21 yes, while I was speaking in prayer, the man Gavri’el, whom I had seen in the vision at the beginning, swooped down on me in full flight at about the time of the evening sacrifice,
22 and explained things to me. He said, “I have come now, Dani’el, to enable you to understand this vision clearly.
23 At the beginning of your prayers, an answer was given; and I have come to say what it is; because you are greatly loved. Therefore look into this answer, and understand the vision.
24 “Seventy weeks have been decreed for your people and for your holy city for putting an end to the transgression, for making an end of sin, for forgiving iniquity, for bringing in everlasting justice, for setting the seal on vision and prophet, and for anointing the Especially Holy Place.
25 Know, therefore, and discern that seven weeks [of years] will elapse between the issuing of the decree to restore and rebuild Yerushalayim until an anointed prince comes. It will remain built for sixty-two weeks [of years], with open spaces and moats; but these will be troubled times.
26 Then, after the sixty-two weeks, Mashiach will be cut off and have nothing. The people of a prince yet to come will destroy the city and the sanctuary, but his end will come with a flood, and desolations are decreed until the war is over.
27 He will make a strong covenant with leaders for one week [of years]. For half of the week he will put a stop to the sacrifice and the grain offering. On the wing of detestable things the desolator will come and continue until the already decreed destruction is poured out on the desolator.”
Now Yehoshua/Yeshua/Jesus is very close to returning, even as Yehoshua described it Himself in Matthew 24. The Jews are being called to Faith, and the Christians are being called to obedience because the world is being shaken, and the Holy Spirit is active everywhere, even where Yehoshua has never been heard of.
Every Believer in Yehoshua needs to start reading their Bibles, and not skip over the Old Testament, the Tanakh, simply because it seems foreign, and different, or because someone in a Christian school said it wasn't necessary anymore, or because an Emperor of Rome outlawed it, and people became used to a pagan blend of Greco-Roman practices, and what Yehoshua told the Apostles to teach us, along with the traditions He knew and approved of.
Not all the commandments written there are required of you, though, since you are
1) not Jewish by Birth or Conversion,
2) not living in Israel, and
3) not living during a time when Temple sacrifices are able to be given.
Some commandments are only for the King of Israel, some only for men, or for women, and many only for the Cohanim, the Priests and Levites in Temple times.
But those you can keep, should be kept...the Saturday Sabbath you already keep, and so next come the Feastdays that G-d gave to all Israel to keep, that demonstrate every year a complete picture of Yehoshua's two comings to the earth. Keeping the Kashrut food laws has been a good thing since they were given to Noach, and are a good thing, to honor Abba's desires for us to live healthfully, and to be in table fellowship with other Messianic Beleivers. Then other small obediences to show our love for G-d in obedience to commandments that He gave, and never repealed. And we can keep them, however simply, and imperfectly we do so.
Read the Commandments...talk to G-d about them, and the Holy Spirit, the Ruach haKodesh, will show you the things you can do, adding each commandment on, a little here, and a little there, until you are keeping all those you possibly can. Keeping them in the manner and traditions of the Jews is fine, but keeping them in your own quiet way is still obedience.
Many of the commandments that Gentiles can keep are taught in the New Testament, and described beautifully...what Yehoshua called the weightier matters of the Law...truth, justice, and mercy. You will find that you already are keeping many commandments when you strive for justice and truth, for honesty, and kindness, for the good of the people around you as much as for yourself, and particularly when you walk in forgiveness.
Yehoshua always asked us to be obedient, and so we should make the effort to learn what was not taught us.
We love questions here, because if we do not already know the answers, we discover the things that we need to learn too.
Many blessings to you, Crisan, and Welcome!
