I know I have asked this question before, but I didn't get an answer because I didn't describe it properly. On the front of the Temple in Los Angeles, there are replicas of the commandment covered slabs of stone that Moshe brought back from the mountain. On them, are the Ten Words(Aseret ha-Dibrot). What are the Hebrew words as listed, and why are they representative of the Ten Commandments, or all of ?

Thank you for the link, Jimmie. That site unfortunately only lists the first commandments by the Hebrew characters for the numbers 1-10, but it was an interesting read none the less.

Exodus Chapter 20
א. 1. And God spoke all these words, saying, ב. 2. I am the Lord your God, who have brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery. ג. 3. You shall have no other gods before me. ד. 4. You shall not make for you any engraved image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth; ה. 5. You shall not bow down yourself to them, nor serve them; for I the Lord your God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children to the third and fourth generation of them that hate me; ו. 6. And showing mercy to thousands of those who love me, and keep my commandments. ז. 7. You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain; for the Lord will not hold him guiltless who takes his name in vain. ח. 8. Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. ט. 9. Six days shall you labor, and do all your work; י. 10. But the seventh day is the sabbath of the Lord your God; in it you shall not do any work, you, nor your son, nor your daughter, your manservant, nor your maidservant, nor your cattle, nor your stranger that is within your gates; יא. 11. For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day; therefore the Lord blessed the sabbath day, and made it holy. 12. Honor your father and your mother; that your days may be long upon the land which the Lord your God gives you. 13. You shall not kill. You shall not commit adultery. You shall not steal. You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor. 14. You shall not covet your neighbor's house, you shall not covet your neighbor's wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is your neighbor's. 15. And all the people saw the thunderings, and the lightnings, and the sound of the shofar, and the mountain smoking; and when the people saw it, they were shaken, and stood far away. 16. And they said to Moses, Speak with us, and we will hear; but let not God speak with us, lest we die. 17. And Moses said to the people, Fear not; for God has come to test you, and that his fear may be before your faces, that you sin not. 18. And the people stood far away, and Moses drew near to the thick darkness where God was. 19. And the Lord said to Moses, Thus you shall say to the people of Israel, You have seen that I have talked with you from heaven. כ. 20. You shall not make with me gods of silver, nor shall you make for yourselves gods of gold. 21. An altar of earth you shall make to me, and shall sacrifice on it your burnt offerings, and your peace offerings, your sheep, and your oxen; in all places where I cause my name to be pronounced I will come to you, and I will bless you. 22. And if you will make me an altar of stone, you shall not build it of a cut stone; for if you lift up your tool upon it, you have polluted it. 23. Neither shall you go up by steps to my altar, that your nakedness be not exposed there.
More than this, I’m afraid you’ll have to buy the CD’s:

The above is what God wrote. I have no idea what LA or CA wrote on anything. As for the Temple, that resides only in Yerushalay'im, when it gets rebuilt, so you must be talking about some other "Temple". Probably a Christian church which they had the bad graces to call a temple.
And you do know that what God called the Ten Words was something else, right?
Dan C
P.S. and no, I am in no way connected with El Shaddai ministries other than I buy from them occasionally. It is Mark Biltz church, and they are HR, not MJ. But he does have some interesting books and CD's. Just use discernment, because he does get off on some weird stuff (like this "Blood Moon" nonsense).
Edit: and I know, I just had to throw in something contrary to public opinion about the Ten Commandments. But PO is like PC; it stinks , and is most often wrong
Edit the edit: Look at Ex 34:10-21 for what Moshe actually brought down from the mountain!

Edit the edit: Look at Ex 34:10-21 for what Moshe actually brought down from the mountain! I do not call it a temple...I have heard Jews refer to going to the Main LA synagogue as "Going to Temple"...or people I thought were Jewish...I didn't ask.
Apparently, above their main door, they have two huge representations of the tablets that Moshe brought down from the mountain, each with a five Hebrew words on them...apparently, their statement about the Commandments.
Since I have even seen them above representations of a Synagogue/Jewish Assembly Hall in Los Angeles...I assumed this was a common representation among the Jews, or at least understandable.
My mistake. Sorry.

Nope, sorry then. No idea.
Weird Jews calling a synagogue the Temple. But then I'm no expert on Judaism, and my resident expert is angry with me right now so I can't ask her. Different sects have different customs anyhow.
Hope you find your answer.
