For all who are having problems with their avatar, please check that you have the latest version of the Adobe Flash Player. Ensure that you have the latest version of Adobe Flash installed, and that you are using a device capable of running Adobe Flash. Please let me know if you do and are still having problems.
Meanwhile, somewhere deep in the bowels of proboards help ...

And there IS help- of sorts- in making your avatar.

If Flash wasn't the fix, try the instructions on that page and see how it works.
Again, let me know if you still have problems. I like to check the simple things first, but never assume anything could just be THAT easy!

With Apple products we don't have flash player. Is there another way to use the avatar without flash?

OK, I talked to a computer guru, and he said Apple should support your using an avatar. According to him, the problem is most likely you are using an outdated browser or operating system. How old is your computer?
You can send me the picture to my email as an attachment and I will TRY to load it for you. But frankly, if I get that right it will be a total miracle, as I am pretty much inCOMPetent! But I'm willing to give it a go ... so if the whole system crashes, you all know who to blame!
