A friend of mine who works construction was talking about how many contractors who bid on a set of plans show up and try to do the work their own way; not according to the plans that were bid on and accepted. I saw a parallel to scripture in what he said. We have a foundation of a home (
) The walls are built upon the foundation (The Prophets) The rest of the home are added onto, the drywall, the paint ect… (The Four Testimonies) The Ceiling is placed on the rafters and the roof protects everything below it (Messiah, our covering) Out in front is a mail box (The letters to congregations and the Jewish People)
If you were to take anything away from this home it would not stand long. Without a roof the floors would be weathered and rotten, without the floors sitting securely on the floor joists that sit on the foundation the roof would not be held up. If we build a foundation of faith on anything other than we will miss the Mashiach(Messiah Yeshua) and who He is. Instead we would be left with an upside down house that instead of protecting and being the covering of the foundation the whole home will fall to dust from rot.
When we dwell in the home that was built on the foundation the way the Father intended then we can live within a Holy House. The house cannot be entered without an invitation from the Ruach (The Spirit) Now we can call the house a home.
