As our Heavenly Father raised us up, He started out as the stern ruling parent who didn't take no guff. He put His foot down and laid out the law.
As His children grew, He send His only "begotten" Son to reveal that He is not as stern as He presented Himself, or found Himself represented. His children took advantage of that and got the wrong impression that either they were to go on without what the eldest son said, or take in what the eldest son said and not worry about what the Father said to begin with.
Well here we are, two rebellious camps siding one way or another and not seeing that just because our Heavenly Father started out stern and then has let His eldest Son help out with a gentler touch, makes anything different. The story is the same, the way of handling it seems different, but we are to still get through out thick skulls that it is the right way to live.

It only let me choose one, so I put "wrong thinking misses the mark" because that is generally universally often sometimes true. But really didn't understand the choices, or what the poll is about. @2 hrs sleep last night, running on massive doses of caffeine and resultant frequent trips to the toilet to keep me awake ... sorry if I'm being slow here, but ...
