Acts 21:26 Then Paul took the men, and the next day purifying himself with them entered into the temple, to signify the accomplishment of the days of purification, until that an offering should be offered for every one of them.
If Christ done away with animal sacrifice, why was Paul going to make an offering which involve animal sacrifice?

He didn't. Nowhere does it say to stop animal sacrifices. Paul continued to do so after the resurrection of Yeshua, but looking back instead of forward. The reason there is no sacrifice today is the Temple was destroyed, so no place is available to sacrifice. TL is probably laughing right now- he saw me take a royal whupin' on this subject at another time and place! Dan C

Shaul (Paul) kept the “ /Instruction/Law” without compromise. He never added or took away from it. Of course he will provide for an offering to complete an oath. Yeshua did make a particular (acceptable) sacrifice for our sins. Now choose to view the requirement for a sin offering in the temple, if and when a temple is built, believers in Yeshua would not be making these sin offerings, any other offering, most likely. These 3 scriptures have some relevance: Heb 10:18 Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin. Heb 10:26 For if we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remains no more a sacrifice for sins, Is 53:10 Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise him; he has put him to grief: when you shall make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in his hand.

Nowhere does it say to stop animal sacrifices. What is your understanding of Daniel 9:27? Micha'el, I am a little dense. It is not clear to me, if you are saying animal sacrifices would continue to be made by those following the Messiah.

Shalom! During the 7-year period described in the verses in Daniel and particularly in Dan 9:27, one can determine that the verse before #27 tells us that the temple is destroyed and that in itself puts an end to the sacrifice as it did when the second temple was destroyed. Something else to note in verse 27 is that the “oblation” also will cease. Micha'el

The reason there is no sacrifice today is the Temple was destroyed, so no place is available to sacrifice. Dan C Was there a Temple when Abel offered a sacrifice? If there was no temple when Abel offered a sacrifice, why does a new one have to be constructed now in order to perform a sacrifice?

(Just a note- there was a lot more between that statement and the laughing guy there- I wasn't making light of the sacrifices.)Dan C Was there a Temple when Abel offered a sacrifice? If there was no temple when Abel offered a sacrifice, why does a new one have to be constructed now in order to perform a sacrifice? Because of the covenant at Sinai after the golden calf. That is when the priesthood was established, as well as the sacrificial system Judaism is still under. And if Paul's actions are any indicator, we will be as well if we live or visit in Israel after the new Temple is built. Dan C

Which sacrifices do you anticipate will be carried out in the 3rd Temple (on earth), and which will not and why not?

Shalom. I asked because in the midst of the perfectness of the vision give to Y'chezk'el it seems that Y'israel will still be engulfed in its own sin, even though it will no longer me marred by foreigners inappropriately taking part in the moedim, and will have all the blessings restored to it that G_d intended the first time round.

Shalom and blessings. I wonder if this would also help you? Read (עִבְרִי) Ivri, Hebrews chapters 9 and 10.. Shalom. Not really - it doesn't answer my question. It complicates matters considerably. Never mind - no clear answer will do
