Shalom All, A danger I see today is a “spirit” of familiarity. People will be astonished by His teaching, only to question where His wisdom and works came from. As His word says, “They were offended by him. But Yeshua said to them, "A prophet is not without honor, except in his own country, and in his own house." He didn't do many mighty works there because of their unbelief. (Matt 13:57-58) Today, many live in His country and in His house, so it becomes too difficult to easily receive His messages to them. Could this possibly be a reason for the limited times we see His mighty works in our midst? Micha’el

It could be. Lack of faith most definitely. I'm a recovering Baptist, so any time miracles are discussed my training kicks in and I believe they happened two millennia ago, but they are "not for today." But if we look, they happen, and God gave me a perfect view of one this weekend.
I'm guessing my other post prompted this, and I understand the concern. But I did get to a level of familiarity with God that I never had before. Sometimes the more familiar we are, the more intimate, I think the more He reveals also. The key is respect. Rest assured that in that post I was addressing our perception of God, not God Himself. As I said, only a fool would mess with Him.

I see no lack of His mighty works. I see miracles all the time where it is clear He is still at work. I do believe the nature of His miracles is sometimes limited because He has so few who are truly following Him all the way. I strongly believe we will shortly see many mighty works as the evil of this world grows and the final judgment approaches.
Many people claim and believe they have a familiarity with God but they fool themselves because they do not truly study His Word.
