A member of this forum has recently asked me about the eighteen measures of Shammai that I often refer to in my posts. This is an extremely important topic for a correct interpretation of the Brit Chadasha, as it will open your eyes to the religious climate of first century Jewry. Here's an audio teaching that will get you started on a study of this topic, but is by no means a comprehensive study. You have to search around the internet to find teachings on the eighteen measures of Shammai. It's not a subject that todays Jews are particularly proud of, which makes it an elusive study topic. Anyway, here's the audio teaching to get you started: CLICK MEI would also like to recommend that you listen to the teaching "Jesus the Pharisee" which can be located in the keywords link directly underneath the player. Has anyone listened to this teaching yet? I sure hope so, as it's an extremely important topic to know in order to make sense of the Brit Chadasha. Please let me know what you guys think of it.
