Just wondering if we should refer to Menachem as, "The Phantom Moderator"?
Is it just me, or does it seem odd that a moderator has 0 posts and hasn't logged in for nearly a month?
Just thinking out loud...

Shalom Zionlion, Yes, I did call the forums attention to Menachem's absence for the forum and apologized for this. I did speak to him and it appears because of a recent move he has not had internet access. He initially agreed to be a moderator, but in speaking with him recently he is rethinking this because he has been too busy. It may be that we will replace him with someone who can help. We could use another moderator...Zionlion...do you know anyone that would like to help Shalom Reuel

Shalom Reuel, Thank you for explaining again. The situation just seemed odd to me. If I may speak freely, the forum may need another mod but, more importantly, it needs you. This is your forum. IMHO, you need to be here on a daily basis, as Mark was, to set the pace and tone of the site. I know you're busy but, with a wife and 10 children, so was Mark. I say this not as a criticism but as something I hope you'll take into consideration. Thanks for "listening". In Messiah,

Honestly, I don't think we need another Mod, Reuel. Between yourself, me, and Zionlion we have it covered no problem. All three of us are here checking out new posts every day, even if we don't login. Perhaps if the forum explodes with some new heavy posting members, we should consider another Mod. But as it is now, I see no need for another. Of course, that's just my own opinion, and your the head honcho here, Bro.

Shalom Zionlion, I have been checking into the forum more often, and even though I don't always post...trust me, I am keeping an eye on things. But, I do need Moderators to help me. The way I look at things, if someone anticipates a need...they should step into help. If you visit our synagogue website at www.synagoguechm.com and take a look at our weekly meeting times...you will see that in addition to having seven children and a wife, in addition to working at least 30hrs a week job and amongst all the extra little meetings that take place with individual members in our congregation, and with all the synagogue e-mails I have to respond to, and with all the phone calls I have to return...and all the various ministry projects I find myself working on throughout the week...I don't think that Mark quite had the full plate that I have been blessed with. We have a fairly large and vibrant community here in Spokane and I have my work cut out for me. Just like Moshe...I can't do it all by myself. My job is to equip, identify, and empower. I may only checkin 4-5 times per week, but I have to be able to trust others to help shoulder the burden Adonai has give me. Does that make sense? So, as a mentioned before, Zionlion, do you know of any one that would like to be an appointed Moderator in place of Menachem?? David, you have a good point. I think we have it covered, but if Zionlion would volunteer...that would be even better. If not, we will love him just as much. I will try to remove Menachem's name soon, but the technical side of it is that it takes a consideral amount of time to remove Menachem's name for every part of the forum. Oy vey! It would be easier for me as I did that to replace his name with Zionlion's instead of doing the process twice (if I later had to go back and add another moderator name to all the areas of the forum). Shavua tov, Reuel

I can relate to the time situation of having to remove, or add, a Mod's name to the board listings. I've done it literally hundreds of times on a ProBoard. But just so you know, I visit this forum several times a day [except Shabbat of course]. So even if you don't see me post, rest assured that I have my eye on things. I really enjoy this forum anyway, so it's not like a burden or anything.
Shalom

B"H Todah David. I really love the forum too and wish I had more time to throw myself into it. And, although I am not as active as I used to be...I have already contributed much and invested much into to this forum. When someone surpasses my post count on the forum here than they may have a little more strength behind the statement that I should post more often. No offense, Zionlion, but it is something to consider. Shalom, Reuel

Shalom Reuel, Again, my comment was not a criticism; merely an observation. Inasmuch as you started the forum in 2004, it's unlikely I'll ever exceed your post count. I thought I had made clear my reason for stepping down as a mod in my PM to you. At any rate, as far as I'm concerned, the subject is closed. G-d bless.

Shalom Zionlion,
No worries. You said it was possible that you would reconsider becoming a moderator at another time. I just wanted to give you every possible chance before we found someone else to help. Thank you for serving the forum for the time that you did. I can accept that this something you are not up for now.
May Adonai bless and keep you,
Reuel

Shalom Veggirl,
I am not sure what happened to your pic, it may be that the source that it was coming from is having problems. I will check into it shortly.
In regards to Mark, I agree he was a good Moderator and although he has decided of his own choosing not to be a Moderator here any longer I did request that he reconsider and the position will always be available to him if he changes his mind and provided he can agree to uphold the current forum rules and guidelines.
May Adonai bless and keep you,
Reuel
